The apartment, it's location and the city exceeded all of our expectations. Worth every penny.
Le logement de Francesca est conforme aux photos, et l'hôte est très accessible.
Francesca was truly welcoming and helpful! We stayed at her apartment for four days in winter. It is nicely located on a small quiet street just off a main road, so not hard to get to. Free parking is outside the walled city, but we paid to stay in a covered parking lot just steps from the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped, the apartment had everything we needed and the lighting is good throughout. The apartment had lots of homey touches, like green plants and nice pictures. We learned that the shower needs to have full pressure to sustain the hot water.
I am happy that you have found the house cozy . For water we found in reality that is not up to us but by a general decline in pressure in the system of the building to an obstruction of a pipe ... I'm sorry , but during these days there will be the Plumbers to settle definitely. You have a free night in Lucca to me next time of course :)
We enjoyed our stay at Mimma's Home! The apartment is clean and cosy, it has everything one could need. It is situated within walking distance of the city centre, which is very convenient for tourists. The hosts are very nice and hospitable persons, always there and ready to help. Thank you very much again!
Hi Natalya, tank's to you and your nice friends for yours visit to my house. In these days we have made many small improvements to prepare the house to the season arrives : new curtains , new mattresses , coffee machine , a new and powerful shower ! well ... we look forward to again in Lucca even more welcoming than before !!
Francesca was very welcoming. She received us in person, and with a nice pasta. The apartment is very well located and very beautifully kept, and well equipped. It was our own space and feels very welcoming. There was only a problem with the heating but once it is was arranged it is a great place to stay!
I spent a couple of weeks at Francesca's home while studying in Lucca and it was a great choice.
Lucca is a lovely city, very well preserved and small but urbane. As others described, the home is ideally situated within the city walls. Lucca is not particularly large, of course, so everything is walking distance. I was one block from the school where I studied (Koine Center) and it was easy to reach the supermarket (Essalunga), 15 minutes outside the city walls, and the gym, QBO. There are many cafe-bars, restaurants, and shops in very close proximity, and a laundromat around the corner.
The home is tastefully decorated and very comfortable/cozy. It was spotlessly clean on my arrival. The home is sufficiently spacious, though not as large as it appears in the photos (definitely will be big enough for 2 or 3 people though). The kitchen had a stove but no oven, and a small fridge, as well as a dishwasher. There were ample pots and pans for cooks, and I was able to prepare meals while there. The bathroom, as others note, is rather small but certainly was fine for me. The wifi worked exceptionally well. (In the interest of full disclosure, my only quibble would be with the mattress, which was a bit lumpy.)
Francesca was a lovely host, very responsive and I enjoyed meeting her. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at her home when I return to Lucca. Grazie ancora, Francesca!
