Thornsberry House is a luxe Wine Country home nestled between the two oldest wineries in California while just 5 minutes from the Sonoma Square. Renovated to accommodate the most discerning traveler, it consists of two separate buildings connected by a breezeway and large deck. Situated on the east side of town, it offers a true escape where one can walk or bike down to Gundlach Bundschu at the end of our street, or soak up the afternoon light from the heated pool, hot tub or a game of bocce.

The space
Welcome to Thornsberry House, a luxe Wine Country home recognized by Dwell Magazine as one of the "10 rentable homes in the world's best Wine regions." Just 4 minutes away from California's two oldest wineries, this private sanctuary is just five minutes from the Sonoma Square.

Our unique property consists of two separate buildings connected by a breezeway and a large deck, giving you and your guests ample space to spread out.

Indoor Living:

-Curated record collection and record player in the studio building and a JBL bluetooth speaker the main home.
-Dedicated workspace for those mixing work with pleasure.
-Fully equipped modern kitchen featuring a drip coffee maker, French press, and a Nespresso machine.

Outdoor Oasis:
-Heated pool and hot tub to soak up the afternoon light.
-Bocce court for friendly competition.
-Refreshing outdoor shower.

Guest access
You will have exclusive and private access to the entire property. This includes both buildings, the connecting breezeway, the expansive deck, the heated pool, the hot tub, the bocce court, and all other listed amenities. Enjoy the entire retreat all to yourselves with keyless self check-in.

Other things to note
Upon booking we send a pdf of all things we love about Sonoma. Our favorite hikes, wineries and restaurants are all there with detailed info on the property.
Thornsberry House is a sanctuary and not a party place. There are absolutely no parties allowed and our guests have to adhere to the Sonoma County quiet hours between 9pm and 7am.

Pool Heating:
-From late April through mid-October, the pool is heated by solar power at no additional cost.
-From mid-October to late April, we can heat the pool for you using gas. We only charge for the actual cost of the gas used, which can range from $35 to $250 per day depending on the air temperature. Please inquire for specific details, but a rough estimate is about 90 dollars per 10 degrees raised and then an additional 90 dollars per day to maintain this temperature.

Safety & Guest Responsibility:
By booking, you acknowledge that the pool, hot tub, and deck areas are not fenced. Guests assume full responsibility for the safety of all occupants and visitors.
The use of these features carries inherent risks, especially for children and individuals with health conditions or under the influence. You agree to waive all claims against the owner and manager for any injuries or accidents that may occur.
Indemnity & Personal Property:
The guest and all occupants agree to hold the owner and manager harmless from any claims of personal injury or property damage.
The owner's insurance does not cover guests' personal belongings; we recommend securing your own traveler's insurance if desired.
