Craig, I am so sorry you were disappointed with your experience in our home. I had been wondering why communication had stopped so suddenly after check-in. (I never heard a word from you after you arrived.) I have to admit, I am curious as to what, once you arrived in our home, was so different from what you had been expecting? We try in earnest to give an accurate depiction, through description and photos, of exactly what our house will be like for guests, quirks and all. I suppose it never occurred to me to mention that our beds are on box springs, but not on bed frames. Was it the absence of electronic devices (such as a television) that prompted to you describe our home as "stark?" While it is clearly a matter of taste, we find the ambience in our home rather warm and pleasant. I don't mean to be presumptuous, but is it possible that some of the dissatisfaction you experienced with your stay may have been a result of having failed to read the description of our place, or look at the photos? I'd like to sincerely apologize, finally, for the noise from upstairs. Our neighbor is a considerate man, and is also a friend. It seems he had the dates mixed up and thought that our house was empty that night. Regardless, the noise could have been stopped immediately if you had contacted one of us using the phone numbers left on the table. I had truly meant it when I said "Let us know if you need anything!" I hope you had a wonderful time in Eugene, and I am truly sorry that you didn't have the experience that you had hoped for in our home. Here's hoping you found a place better suited to your needs!
No hard feelings.
