I'm renting out my room in a shared apartment during my stay outside of Austria. The room is facing south-east, is quiet and of course everything is here: bed, table, tv, wardrobe, washing machine, wireless, fridge - I normally live there ;)
In the whole apartment are living 3 other people around their 30's, working, no partyfolks (although they enjoy having the one or other beer together). There is also a huge terrace which can be reached through one of the other rooms. From time to time they make BBQ
The room itself is pretty quiet since its a little bit separated from the others. I left everything so that you can feel like you're living there.
The kitchen, the bathroom and the separate toilet are shared among all the people. The room itself can be locked. Whoever rents the room will get a key of the house and the apartment and can come and go how it suits best... In general it's pretty relaxed ;)
Update Nov 2013: The furniture in the room was a little bit moved around to get more space. The bed is now under the window and the TV is on the opposite side. You can have a look at the last four pictures, which show the new room constellation.
I will always cleanup the room and give fresh linen before you move in, so you can await a clean and tidy room. Also an instruction is provided with everything what you need - from telephone-numbers to Internet-HowTo. I will also leave some detergent, so you don't have to get some. My stuff is usually placed in half of the wardrobe space, so you have about the other half. Also in the fridge and in the bathroom is enough space provided, so a comfortable stay is possible.
I am always very concerned about shared-spaces because I have lived in some though ... But I can assure you that this is like an apartment in an apartment. The people show respect for each other. DON'T expect something like a party-hostel. All of the people here are working, although they love to share some stories...
Parking: There is plenty of parking space in front of the house for about 5€/day. There are also three free parking lots which are directly in front of the house for house-guests, although they are not always available. To be fair: I always got one and never had to struggle to stay for free, but I can't give any guarantee...
That's it :)
The room is absolutely perfect. It is friendly, cozy, well equipped, easy to access. The apartment community is also very nice, I definitely enjoyed my stay with them.
Communication with Thomas was good from the beginning and throughout my stay at his place, in spite of him being in Hong Kong. The room was as advertised and in accordance to my needs , the house was nice and clean, the kitchen well equipped, the neighborhood nice and quiet, the roommates extremely friendly, tidy and forthcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Thomas' place and I would stay there again, no question about that.
hallo Thomas... mein aufenthalt ist schnell unkompliziert und angenehm gewesen... komme gerne wieder grüsse johann
