In addition, there's an iron and ironing board, should you feel especially industrious. Wi-fi is available, as well as an iPod/mp3 player.
The sounds of birds and frogs, the occasional bunny or baby fox, hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies—these are the distractions of this Mendocino setting. Hummingbird Haven is a very special place in Mendocino. We spent a weekend here, enjoying biking, hiking, beach life and the cottage garden. Margaret is an outstanding host and treated us to her special breakfast and home made granola. The cottage is perfect in all details and very clean.
We loved it and will be back.
We stayed at Hummingbird Haven for three nights, Margaret is a wonderful host, everything was perfect! The cottage is very peaceful and quiet, full of flowers and trees, we will be back in the future! Thank you Margaret!
We really enjoyed our two night stay in this lovely garden cottage. It was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and relaxing. Margaret was a delightful hostess and her garden beautiful right out the front door. It was an easy walk into town and in a very quiet location. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Margaret's place was everything we expected from the other reviews and more - the rooms were immaculately clean, the office workspace was great for focusing, the breakfast was great (delicious homemade granola), and best of the all the gardens were gorgeous! We loved our stay and will definitely come back next time we come to Mendocino!
great little place. I'd go back!
A very nice and comfortable apartment in a pretty town. We were expecting to use the apartment as a base to go exploring but instead found a cozy hiding hole when the weather turned awful. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Margaret but she made sure we were well taken care of in her absence.
A wonderful experience. The place is charming, cozy, quiet and very clean. The breakfast was amazing and Margaret is a fantastic host. We will be back!
Margaret met us in person to show us our lovely separate quarters. It was obvious that she had spent much consideration and time to make the stay comfortable. We enjoyed the bright and cheerful windows, colors, paintings, décor and quiet and serene setting. The location was extremely convenient to the coast, bakery, delightful grocery and museum (which we recommend).
This may be named "Hummingbird Haven", but it easily could be called "Bird of Paradise!" Margaret is the perfect host, and has anticipated every need in this 1-bedroom, private bath, and separate sunny studio "nest" . Everything is immaculate, and worthy of a Ritz Carlton. Their are picture windows overlooking the apple orchard and gardens, which was wonderful since I was there in January. The hummingbirds were around, and the deck is beautiful for overlooking the garden in warm weather. Margaret is a culinary professional, so in additon to the lovely breakfast options, she makes her own granola. That granola is mentioned by almost everyone in the guest book! Mendocino is a wonderful community, and there is something for everyone there, all along on the coast, and in the redwood forests. I look forward to retuning in different seasons. Thank you, Margaret!
