The Space

This apartment is independent, You will not be sharing if with anyone.

It is easier and faster to commute into the City from Union City than commuting from Brooklyn or Queens.

If you were to stay in the Bronx it would take you 40 min to get to Times Square. If you were to Stay in Brooklyn it would take you the same amount of time as subways in Brooklyn are not direct. If you were to stay in Manhattan you would not find a place as big as this one for this price.

The apartment is located in a safe neighborhood, close to shopping and restaurant area.

The apartment is located within a 3-min walk to a bus stop the bus will take you to Times Square district in approximately 15 minutes (Important: Bus to Times Square costs $3 each way and bus tickets cannot be used for subway) NJ transit bus tickets cost $27 for 10 one way tickets. The bus will take you to Port Authority 42nd St subway station (lines A, C, E). This station is a central subway hub and you can easily walk to lines 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q and R. (Important: Subway tickets cost $2.5 per ride but you can buy 7-days unlimited pass at $29).
I do not recommend buying the unlimited pass as Port Authority is central and you can walk to all major tourist attractions.

It is like an independent house located in the back of a garden.
The apartment is a duplex with living room and bathroom on main floor and bedroom on 2nd floor, First floor has a double sofa bed

The apartment is near restaurants and shopping center.

Parking is street parking. Parking permit will be provided. You are still subject to parking regulations.

This apartment does not have a kitchen.

  • Dealing with Miyoko was an easy experience. Always returned emails quickly, always polite and perfect information.

Miyoko is very organized, She made a booklet that contains valuable information of the surrounding and Wi-Fi setup so we could make searches on the internet and plan our day trip.

A parking pass (free) was lent to us for the duration of our stay. When entering the apartment, the 1st thing you notice is that THIS PLACE IS VERY CLEAN! It appeared that it has been renovated not long ago. There is an air con on both floors, fridge, microwave oven a table with 2 stools. The beds are comfortable and clean. When resting in the garden at night, you feel this is an oasis in the middle of the city where you feel calmness. Many plants and tress are welcoming some fireflies that sparks randomly to our amusement. The place is surrounded by affordable restaurants: IHOP, McDonald, Papa Johns pizza, P L Grill that offers real homemade breakfast and many more. At the newspaper stand at the corner of Bergenline Ave, they sell but tickets for NJ buses and calling cards.

Take the bus across the street and get to the NY Port Authority bus terminal within a few minutes.

Walk the Bergen line ave (2 corners away) and enjoy authentic south american food.

I added this place into my favorites and will go her again on my next trip!

  • My experience with Miyoko and her private bungalow was excellent. She responded promptly to all inquiries and even let us check in early on check-in day. The space itself was very convenient (attending EDC at Metlife Stadium) and very comfortable. It was very clean when we came in and fit five of us spaciously. Closed off from the main street, noise was not a problem. The beds were extremely comfortable and the TVs were icing on the cake. I would highly recommend this space to anyone.

  • Very nice place indeed! Cozy and clean! The bungalow is located in the center of Union City with Night Club across and the Papa Johns Pizza that is open 24 hours (how convenient!) next door. We had no problem finding parking. Getting to NYC was also easy, fast and not expensive if using bus. We never met the host, but had no need to do so, - everything was fine and taken care of.

  • Miyoko was very helpfull - we werent sure how to turn on the heating and she let somebody come over to do it. She provided all needed information in time.
The area was nice and quiet, with supermakerts nearby. SInce there is no kitchen you can not do extensive cooking, but there is stuff to make tea/coffee and at least have breakfast.
The place itself was simple but very convenient and clean. Perfect for spending a week in New York since we mainly used it to sleep. Good Wifi and very comfortable shower.
Travelling is very convenient and only 10 min to city center by bus.

  • Everything was perfect. The apartment was easy to find, it was clean and cozy, the beds and sofá are comfortable, even wifi and satélite tv worked fine.
It´s pretty easy to get to Manhattan and cheaper too. Photos reflect the current state of the aparment. Highly recommended for small families and couples. Our stay was very pleasant and secure.

  • Great host. Constant communication to verify all details were explained.
Also, we had a special request, which they were able to accommodate. Of course we let them know ahead of time.
The place itself is really cozy and surprisingly quiet for being right in the middle of an emerging city.

    Great place, would stay again.

  • I stayed at Miyoko's place for just one night but it was a wonderful stay. The space is really cozy and warm. It is very secluded, so you don't hear any of the street traffic or outside noise. We had our own private entrance which we could come and go as we pleased and nobody bothered us the entire time. The only downside is that the place does not have a kitchen. Aside from that everything was great. Miyoko was an amazing host and was there any and every time we needed her. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking.
