This place is a great find - we'd give it 10 stars if we could! Frances was friendly and extremely helpful from the very start. We were going to a wedding nearby and she helped us work out the best options for travelling to and from the venues. She also gave us a lift the following day so that we could pick up our car.
The room was very comfortable and clean, and we had a bathroom to ourselves. Everywhere was stylish and immaculately kept.
We were provided with a continental breakfast including lovely fresh fruit. Frances did all she could to make us feel welcome and to make sure we made the most of our visit to the area.
Thanks, hope to visit again some time!
The directions to the Gardiners' front gate were clear and accurate and they met us in the driveway as we pulled in. As soon as we were settled, we were invited to tea and a snack in their beautiful, comfortable sitting room. Even Roxie, their gentle giant dog, greeted us on our way from our car to the front door. This is a nice, modern house surrounded by gardens and forests with farmlands beyond.
The room was large enough and the bed was comfortable. There were no other guests at the time but they do have two other guest rooms but only one shared bathroom so be aware that the arrangement might be more comfortable for families than for strangers.
Frances and family prepared a terrific breakfast of fruit, cereal, toast and coffee both of the mornings we were there. And they let us choose the breakfast time to be as convenient as possible for us.
We were able to take a nice, quiet walk around the grounds after dinner and Roxie tagged along to keep us company. We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit.
Perfect hosts, perfect position and perfect Experience! Thank you so much Frances Enda and especially Roxy. Accommodation exactly as depicted and our regret was not being able to stay longer. Hopefully another time. Best wishes Jan and Dave.
Highly recommended! Frances and Enda were fabulous hosts and made us feel right at home. Frances gave us a great recommendation for a place to have dinner. When we returned from dinner Enda set us up in the lounge with a movie to watch. The room we stayed in was comfortable and had a fabulous view of the countryside. It really felt like we were staying with family. (And they have the sweetest dog ever!)
We had a wonderful stay with Frances and her family! Their home is well located on the way between Dublin and Galway. We stayed with our baby and Frances very nicely organized a cot for him. Their home was very nice and clean and our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. They gave us plenty of advice and were very kind. We highly recommend to stay with Frances!
We felt like a part of the family when we stayed with Frances, Edna, Mary (their daughter) and Roxy there're sweet dog. Even it was only for one night. The house was great and had a lot of history inside - Edna loves to tell you a lot about it. He although took us with him to feed the piggies in the backyard and told us about his vegetables :). You can be sure everything you get for breakfast is ecological and comes right from their garden. We really had a great time and would always come back!

I'm Frances and I'm married to Enda. We have three grown up children. Enda manages a restaurant and I work in the local hospital. We love meeting new people, a nice glass of red wine, good food and great chat. We live in my home place although we have also lived abroad in America and Europe. Our aim is to make your stay with us memorable for all the right reasons. Please do let us know in advance what you like to do/see on holidays....we have loads of great historical sights in the Midlands, fantastic scenic walks, and so much more. We would be delighted to assist and guide you on this trip. Do decide to stay at least two nights in Loughnagore House- rural Ireland is stunning. So much to do..so little time..
