DeLand is a historic town, home to Stetson University, in the center of the Orlando-Daytona Beach corridor. Make Casa Cascada your home base while visiting the endless attractions of Central Florida and the Space Coast.

Casa Cascada is a peaceful, exclusive mini-resort. The Studio is the ground floor, wheelchair-accessible suite. It's located in a guest house duplex situated in a unique, lush, aquifer-fed tropical oasis, including a 20' waterfall, hidden away in walkable, downtown DeLand.

The space
Located in downtown DeLand’s Historic Garden District, Casa Cascada is an ideal hub from which to explore the endless attractions that DeLand and Central Florida have to offer. DeLand’s award-winning downtown, including historic structures dating back as far as the 1880s, is located midway between Daytona Beach and Orlando, being only thirty minutes in either direction. New Smyrna Beach, a Mecca for surfing and other water sports on Florida’s “Fun Coast”, is even closer. DeLand is also located close to various large springs and nature preserves, as well as the St. John’s River.


This tropical retreat with a natural swimming pool looks like it was built a hundred years ago even though construction was completed in 2025 by the host, who is also the architect and builder.

This listing is for the ground floor Studio. A suite consisting of a bedroom with a queen size bed, living room with smart TV and comfortable sofa, large walk through closet and a bathroom with curbless shower and hand rails.. It can sleep up to four people, with a queen bed in the bedroom and a comfortable sofa to sleep on in the living room, plus a floor mattress if needed.

The reinforced concrete building is storm and flood proof and very quiet inside.

Amenities include a smart TV, high optic fiber wi-fi, microwave, minifrig, Keurig coffee maker, sink, electric kettle.



Guests renting the Studio (or the Casita on the second floor) including two units (one up and one down) also have access to the natural swimming pool and gardens. The pool water comes from the Florida aquifer and is filtered through a water garden that functions as a biological filter. The water is then treated with ultraviolet light, and returned to the pool through waterfalls, which further aerate the water.

Other things to note
This is a suite. The bedroom has a queen bed. The second room is a living room with a comfortable sofa. We can accommodate a 3rd person sleeping on the sofa and we have a fold out floor mattress for a fourth person if necessary. If it's only three people, the third person can choose whether they want the sofa or the floor mattress.
