Skip across lazy Edgewater Drive and into the jade waters of your private Blanco River frontage with our kayaks. Use our tubes and go zen, then swim across to the rope swing to get those muscles moving. Throw some juicy steaks on, blend some Margaritas, and head down to the fire pit or soak in the hot tub. Come relax - it doesn't get much better than this!

The space
A fresh and pretty place with a beautiful view!

Welcome! We look forward to hosting you here in the Wimberley Valley where the air is clean and the river is clear. You'll have a fully equipped kitchen, soft and filtered drinking water. There's no need to pick up bottled water! Washer and dryer. There's a refrigerator downstairs in the storage area where the ping pong table is so you can put cold drinks in it and a bag of ice. Be sure you bring bags of ice for upstairs as well as downstairs if your group uses a lot of ice. Enjoy our fast Wifi and Roku to get to log into your Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. This house has Spectrum Cable TV.

We have a drip coffee maker with filters, and a single Keurig. We provide the. coffee. Bring your favorite cream.

We have a propane grill and a charcoal BBQ pit.

This house sleeps eight comfortably. We provide all linens and towels for these eight guests. There are four queen-size beds in four separate bedrooms.

You may bring blowups and linens for extra people up to 12; Guests need to supply blowups and linens for any blowups you bring, including pillows. Let us know how we may help you! We can easily add the guests for you. There is a charge for over 8 guests. Put in the. orientation number of guests and the system calculates it for you.

We don't allow any events/parties here, and glitter, confetti and banners are not permitted.

We welcome your sweet dogs! The fee is $50 per dog, per stay - up to two dogs only, and no aggressive breeds, please. It would be greatly appreciated if you would have your fur babies groomed before bringing them to Laura's Lodge. Please keep them off the beds and furniture. Occasionally, we will allow a third dog, but they will each be $50. Heavy shedders and long haired dogs need to be brushed and/or groomed before bringing them to this house, and we have the option to charge extra if the house is full of hair. Please do a courtesy sweep-out before you leave.

All pets must be on a leash while outside, and the dog gate kept up to keep them off the carpet in the loft. We do not allow puppies under one year old. Please pick up after your dogs.

Kayaks (3 or 4) and tubes (up to eight) are provided at no charge. PLEASE DO DRAG OUR KAYAKS AND TUBES. It burns holes in them!! We also have many life jackets of many sizes.

THIS HOME IS NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. There is a flight of stairs to enter the front door, which is actually in the back of the house next to the driveway. This house has been elevated above the new flood plain elevations.

NO DIVING IN THE RIVER, PLEASE! After the last flood, there are large borders in there. Fish, swim, kayak, and float!

Thank you for your consideration. We love our guests and consider it a privilege to host you.

Sincerely,
Katie, Cynthia and Charles Ramsay

Guest access
You'll have access to our private river frontage and kayak ramp. You'll have a patio exclusively for your group. In addition to our frontage, there are two river parks. Please share the ramp on the rare occasion someone from the Ramsay's House wants to launch their kayak.
They'll move on quickly because they have their own patio. And their patio is exclusively for them. We provide a key to these two coveted neighborhood parks that are a two-to three-minute walk in either direction of Laura's River Lodge. One of these parks is so neat because it's shallow and flows and the kids love this! With our tubes, parents can let children float downstream to the other parent.

We don't own the rope swing, but it's across the river and sure is a lot of fun.
It's located in the park two minutes west of Laura's River Lodge.
The other smaller park is in the other direction. You can walk into both parks without the key. See our map and photo in the notebook onsite.

These parks are perfect for hiking and discovering million-year-old crustaceans and other fascinating features. The larger park has concrete steps at the far east end of the park where you can walk into the river into shallow water. It's great for small kids and the elderly who want to get in the river easily.

We're 3 1/2 miles to downtown Wimberley; four miles to Market Days, which is the first Saturday of every month. Full-size washer and dryer. Quality linens. Let me say something here about our filtered water system. If you think the water is cloudy or something is wrong with it, there is 100% nothing wrong with it.
It simply gets an airlock in the line from time to time after regeneration!!!
The reason for no water or ice in the fridge is because of guest abuse. We finally gave up on trying to provide this for our guests and ask you bring in a bag of ice and put it in the freezer below the fridge and use our filtered water which is at all faucets.

We're on a septic system. Please do not flush any feminine products or non-degradable items down the toilet or huge amounts of toilet paper at one time. Toilet paper only may be flushed. Don't ruin your stay by having this happen to you. Tell your family! Dispose of kitchen grease in the kitchen trash when cool. Extra charges apply if you don't comply, and we have to call in a plumber. Thank you.

Location

Wimberley, Texas, United States

Our neighborhood started out from humble beginnings with various sorts of architecture in the area. That was more than 30 years ago. It was attractive to people from larger cities who could purchase a lot and bring their families out for some rest and relaxation to the gorgeous Blanco River. They came with motorhomes and campers to swim in the emerald green water. This is a beautiful, fun area where we welcome our guests to not only use our riverfront lots but also use our coveted waterfront parks down here on The Blanco. Come kayak, swim and fish and enjoy nature. We're three point two miles to downtown Wimberley. We really love it out here, and so will you!
