We had an absolutely terrific stay at Mark and Robert's Cozy Cabin in the Redwoods and would happily stay there again. The cabin was as adorable, cozy and inviting as the pictures make it look.
The location is perfect - great hikes and vineyards are just a short drive away and the cabin is close enough to Guerneville to be really convenient, but secluded enough to feel to feel like you're getting away from it all.
Robert was a wonderful host. Super helpful and warm - around when we needed him and out of the way otherwise.
Robert was the perfect host. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. The house was very clean and well represented by the pictures.
Robert was a great host, super friendly and helpful. There was a bottle of wine and jam waiting for us. The photos are accurate and the cabin is very comfortable. Everything was clean. The location is great too. It was peaceful waking up to trees surrounding you. I recommend arriving while it's still light. The road leading up to the cabin is narrow and windy, but worth it.
We loved sitting on the deck drinking coffee or wine or Robert's home brew and gazing at the Redwoods - just beautiful. There were very few bugs and mosquitos to disrupt our enjoyment of the deck - a nice change from the East Coast! There were some spiders in the cabin - the usual small ones and a couple of big ones that Robert warned us we might see - but we just ignored them and they went away.
I highly recommend following Robert's advice for local wineries, we had a lovely day of wine tasting. Armstrong Woods is definitely worth a visit - a beautiful and peaceful place. Overall, we had a lovely stay!
Thanks to Robert, we made it there! Thank you for meeting us! The road was a little scary the first time! The bottle of wine was a nice touch. Thanks for the suggested wineries, we enjoyed our day! It was very quiet and wonderfully cool at night. We would recommend everyone stay at the cozy cabin in the redwoods!
Oh my, I can't say enough about this place, and about Robert (Mark was out of town at the time, but we would have loved to have met him too)! The cabin was even more gorgeous than we expected from the pictures; tons of space, spotless, and stocked with anything you could need. The pictures of historic Guerneville hung on the walls were fascinating, and combined with Robert's stories really give you a deeper appreciation of the area and its people. We all fell in love with this place, in no small part thanks to Robert and his warm and open personality, including his tips for getting the most of out your stay! We really felt completely at home, and it was a sad day when we had to say goodbye. Definitely will stay here again, and I can't recommend this place enough to anyone considering it!
We loved the cabin. The location was great among the trees. We felt like we were in a treehouse. Robert could not have been more accommodating! He even gave us champagne and a plant for my husband's celebration! The cabin is adorable and the downstairs bed was super comfy. We found everything we needed to cook. We will hopefully come again and stay there. Wonderful time!!
