With roughly 250 square feet of living space, Maxwell sports the vibe of a rustic mountain man. With modern luxuries like hot water, fast WiFi, and a rad vintage convection oven that will have that home-cooked meal sizzling, Maxwell is ready to be your lakeside home-away-from-home.
Our favorite part? Step back in time and watch one of the provided VHS tapes on the original 8" color TV. It may not be today's modern flat screen, but we think it delivers something better—pure nostalgia.
Picnic tables, benches, and a propane grill are located outside.
💻 📚 The TV might be 80s, but the WiFi is not. Speedy WiFi is at the ready.
❄️ There are two ACs to choose from (running one at a time). One in the living room and one near the bedroom.
⚡️ Please kindly note that due to the power pull and setup of Maxwell, you will be able to run ONE large power appliance at a time. This could be your choice of either the front AC, the rear AC, the convection oven, or the microwave.

Located on Highway 35, you will have quick and easy access to get anywhere you want to be. Because of our ideal location and easy access to lots of places, there is some road noise early in the morning (~6 am) into the early evening (sleeping hours are quiet).
All guests get access to our private community beach on Flathead Lake.

The sleeping area features an RV mattress, sized between a full and a queen—perfect for two but with slightly different dimensions than a standard bed. Snuggled into the Airstream’s curved frame, one person must crawl over the other to reach the far side, as the bed's length runs from end to end. A true camper’s retreat!
There is an abundance of closet storage in the bedroom.

This well-equipped kitchen has a DOUBLE (and deep) sink plus attachments to expand its functionality and counter space. A four-burner gas stove, nesting pots, microwave that doubles as a small convection oven, and RV-sized fridge + freezer make this space incredibly functional for a week (or month) of cooking at home. Ample amounts of overhead storage complete the space.

Separated by the walkway, the cozy bathroom features its original RV toilet with a powerful flush and a micro-sized sink and counter. Across the hall, a compact shower offers a refreshing rinse after adventure-filled days. The spaces can remain separate or be connected by the simple swing of a door. It's 1980's ingenuity at work!

From Kansas City to Bigfork, travel has shaped who I am. In 2013, my around-the-world tour was featured on the Dave Ramsey Show ('Brittain's World' on YouTube:). In 2014, Hostel KC was born. Its mission was to give back to the people of Jamaica. In 2016, I hit the road full-time with my husband and in 2020, we landed in Bigfork to manage, and eventually own Flathead Lake Resort - a small, family-owned, home-style experience. Welcome home!
