The Space

This apartment is perfect for those wanting to experience a true local New York experience. We are offering a private bedroom with queen size bed in great location on Rivington street in Lower East Side. The neighborhood is very lively and definitely the hip place in the city to be (Even Lady Gaga has lived on this street and sings often about it in her songs-)

The neighborhood is synonymous for local galleries, trendy dive bars and has some of New York’s best cafes, restaurants, bars, live music and clubs outside your door step.

The F Train is 2 blocks away and the M & J & the 6 lines are 3 blocks away, which means that your only minutes away from Times Square, Central Park, Central Station, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center and Broadway Musicals. You are also a few blocks away (walking distance) from Soho, China Town, Little Italy and the East Village. And for those wanting to experience Brooklyn you are also around 10 minutes by train going the opposite way. But trust us once you experience Lower East Side you may find it difficult to leave the area.

The room is available for up to 2 people (sharing one bed).

Check In
  • The bedroom and living room was accurately described in the listing. The location is super convenient to the Subway station, Chinatown, and SoHo. It's a great location to get to all the exciting areas in the city and there is great food places in the area. We found the bedroom to be clean, but the bathroom sink was broken and the shower was moldy and needed to be cleaned.

  • For the second time in the apt, everything was perfect. I didn't get a chance to meet Keith but he answered all my messages promptly. Getting the keys is easy. he was really flexible about my check-in time and let us store our bags in the apt. later the last day. As I said the first time we rent the place, the location is great and close to the subway stations (5min). You can easily walk to Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho and LES of course.

  • Keith (email hidden) and very accommodating. He met us when we arrived and showed us our room and recommended places to visit in NY. The room was a good size and didn't have a problem with noise from the street like some of the people that have left a review.

  • Keiths place was the perfect base for exploring New York City. The room has plenty of space for 2 people and all the luggage, we stayed 11 nights and certainly spread out and made the place feel like home. Bed is comfortable with nice clean linen and the room was not too noisy or light to stop us sleeping well after long days of walking the city.
The living space of the appartment is comfortable with good couches for a rest after days of exploring, or after eating at one of the many resturants along Rivington st (our pick is Calmexico 4 blocks east!). The Bathroom is the size you'd expect for a NY appartment, the shower could be cleaner and the sink is cracked but still functioning, but still a pass mark.
The location is perfect, only a short walk to the Delancy St subway, from there you can reach just about anywhere on Manhattan direct or with just one change.
We had the chance to meet and chat with keith and he is very welcoming and helpful, particularly with his suggestions for Pizza (Grimaldis under the Brooklyn bridge, excellent).
We had a little difficulty when we collected the key from the bar downstairs, aks Keith for the appartment number before you arrive, otherwise you have a key but no idea which appartment (16 to choose from).
As a base for travellers exploring New York who will be out all day and looking (email hidden) at the end of the day Keiths place is perfect.

  • Had a great stay here! The neighborhood was great, and it was easy to get anywhere else in the city of course.

The room was simple, nice to have a plenty of places to hang up your stuff or put it on shelves. The bed was really really nice. I want to find this mattress for my own place.

I was out and about most of the day and night, so it (email hidden) to come get some rest. Would recommend it to anyone else who wanted a clean and easy place to crash in the city.
