Do you need a cozy place to rest after exploring this magical city? I have the perfect couch! Its super comfortable and wide, situated in my traditional Victorian living room, with fairly little light (dark and cozy makes for epic sleep). The apartment dons the traditional Victorian amenities: claw-foot tub, roof access, high ceilings, and wood floors; and the atypical ones: every flavor of tea your taste buds might desire, essential oils & salts for your bath, a well-stocked bookshelf, yoga mats, and an in-house massage therapist!
The neighborhood provides a map of cuisines, wine bars and dive bars, yoga studios and mixed martial arts gym, organic markets, Sunday farmer's market, and best of all - Alamo Square Park directly across the street (Painted Ladies / Full House). 3 Bus lines run within 1-3 blocks and you can go any direction quite easily. Upper and Lower Haight, Castro, Mission, Pac Hghts, and Hays Valley are all a short walking distance away.
Any more questions, please ask!
I'm not much of a "rules" type of gal... but these are the basics:
1. No smoking (anything) inside the apartment.
2. No extra guests (unless agreed upon prior to making your reservation).
3. Love the space as you would your own home.
4. Enjoy your time here!!
Karen was a great host - very friendly and accommodating and the apartment was really comfortable. I would highly recommend it!
Karen was a great hostess. She explained the house rules, gave me an idea of the neighborhood, and shared some local insights. The space was exactly what I needed, and is centrally located within walking distance to Birite market and places to eat. I will miss waking up in the morning and taking a stroll in Alamo Square which has a great view of The SF skyline. Taking UBER to the Mission and SOMA was easy, and some days I walked back. Had a great time and I would stay again.
Karen was welcoming and I appreciated her accepting me at the last minute. The room is exactly as described - it really is a sofa (not a sofa bed) in the living room, so quite basic but comfy.
The location of this apartment in Alamo Square just can't be beat. My host Karen was friendly, nice, and inviting. She offered me either the couch or the spare room but the living room was so cute I took the couch. It was closest to the kitchen and bathroom; what can I say, priorities. Plus the couch was super comfy. I would definitely book this place again the next time I visit San Francisco. A few places to check out nearby on Divisadero: The Mill for coffee and fancy toast, Nopa for lunch/dinner, The Page & Waizema's for late night drinks, Vinyl Coffee and Wine Bar for breakfast sandwiches/tacos the morning after.
c'était super agréable, très cosy et relaxant ! j'y retournerai avec plaisir
I enjoyed my staying at the room for 2 nights. Nice clean room with heater and comfortable couch, good internet, great location near Alamo Square. Karen was very friendly.

I'm a San Francisco transplant, originally from Chicago, with a piece of my heart forever in Hawaii. I'm a massage therapist / bodyworker who loves all things human. I work from my home so most days the atmosphere is mellow and quiet - my space is ideal for people who will spend their days out exploring the city. My favorite things are live comedy & jazz, yoga, intelligent conversation, vegetarian cooking, fresh flowers, thrift stores, traveling, and hot water.
I've lived in the city for 4 years and I love to send people on excursions, share my favorite gems in each neighborhood, and swap stories. I'm a pretty even balance of urban indulgent and crunchy nature lover - and can recommend happiness for whichever direction you tend to sway.
Please feel free to ask any questions you have before reserving the space!
