This thoughtfully restored house sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. The property is located on a wide and quiet tree lined street in the centre of Saint-Chinian. There are ample free car parking spaces available in the shaded square just behind the house. Swimming pool in village. 35 minutes to beaches. Electric heating makes for extra comfort during the colder winter months. The spacious accommodation is arranged over three floors. Ground floor with entrance hall, utility room and bathroom. First floor with large sitting/dining room with balcony and kitchen. Second floor with 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom.

Saint Chinian is almost equidistant between the sea and the mountains, and a great base for your holiday in Languedoc. It's easy to visit the attractions in the surrounding area such as the mediterranean beaches, Carcassonne, Albi, Montpellier, Nimes or Toulouse, and there are many interesting sites only a short distance away. The village has many amenties such as restaurants, cafes and bars, and virtually everything can be bought locally. A bus service connects the village Monday to Saturday to Beziers (TGV station), and twice a week there is a farmers market in the square. In the summer months the public swimming pool is open seven days a week, and there is also river swimming in the village. Canoeing is great fun and there are two bases where you can start you adventure within half an hours drive. And there is lots more to do and see...

I've been living with my partner in St Chinian now since 1998 and am still captivated by the area. We first came to the area for a long weekend, to visit friends who'd settled here. It was Easter, the weather was gorgeous and we had a wonderful time. At the end our stay we decided to come back later in the year, and booked a two week stay in St Chinian. We bought the house during that first holiday in St Chininan - it was very much love at first sight with the village and the area. We were staying across the road and looking from the windows of our apartment we could see this house with a large for sale sign on it. At the time there were no estate agents, so we visited with the local notary who had the keys and took us round. We visited a second time with our friends who lived locally and at the end of our holiday we'd signed for the house and arranged everything - and we've never once regretted it. Our house is just a few steps away from the market square, and the house is close to all amenities whilst not being close enough to them to suffer noise. You can get to St Chinian by public transport and if you don't want to stray from the village you don't have to, everything can be found locally. A car will allow you to explore a bit more, and St Chinian is ideally placed to visit in all directions.
