This Xanders House is a 3 story, 4 bedroom retreat close to Hamilton Place Mall and all of the shopping you need! Lots of great restaurants and only 15 minutes to downtown & lots of family-friendly activities. You’ll love our place because of the 5 indoor hammocks, kids playroom, spacious hangout areas, seating & dishes for 14, large deck, grill, high ceilings, large kitchen and the decor. Our place is good for couples, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
Our space is incredibly unique because of the indoor hammocks in the movie room, the double dining rooms, the playroom for children and the large deck.
We provide bathroom, kitchen and bedroom essentials for your stay, including a standard coffee maker and a French Press. You can find the list under the "Amenities" section of this profile.
The playroom is stocked with toys for children in a variety of ages. The back deck has seating for 10 and a large grille. The three TV's provided within the house and the 5 hammocks in the downstairs movie room provide plenty of entertainment for everyone, including large groups.
You will have access to the entire home and half (one car) of the garage with the exception of a few locked closets.
Interaction with guests
We proudly offer self-checkin and we respect our guests privacy. We will only be in the space if there is an emergency or special request by a guest. We are available by phone - text (preferred) or call - during most hours of the day and evening and will return communications at our earliest convenience.
Other things to note
We do not provide cable (noted in the "Amenities" section). We provide Smart TV only, which comes with all of the apps you can access on the internet: Netflix, youtube, etc. If you have a subscription for ESPN or any other channels at home you should be able to login to those same channels through the Smart TVs.
This is an older house which comes with character and requires additional love. We spend hours cleaning between each check out and check in, but please be patient with dust as it collects quickly and if there were a few days between your stay and the previous stay a little might have accumulated in the interim.
All linens are diligently washed between each stay. We apologize in advance if despite our efforts we were not able to completely remove all marks or stains, but rest assured everything is clean. Please help yourself to the washer and dryer on us! We provide you with laundry detergent and dryer sheets as well.
The trash runs on Thursdays. We appreciate those who stay on a Wednesday night for putting the green trashcans down by the road.
We do not assume any liability for guest accidents, injuries, personal items or incidences during the stay. Use of the property implies that you, the guest, assume all risk of personal injury and personal property damage. Guests that stay with us do so at their own risk and we are not liable financially or otherwise. Any accidents or injuries that occur are the financial responsibility of the guest and guest only.
We offer returning guests with positive feedback a discount of $20/day! Please mention when you book.
- No loud noises or partying past 10pm on week nights and 11pm on weekends
- Do not use the Butcher block countertops as a chopping block or cutting board, we provide cutting boards.
- One person per hammock only!
- No hitting the walls with the hammocks
Before you go::
-Load all dirty dishes into the dishwasher and start it. Clean and put up any dishes that do not fit in the dishwasher.
-Strip the used sheets off of the beds and place in the laundry shoot in the upstairs hallway, or place in the laundry room. *Note - do NOT strip the duvet covers off of the comforters, we will handle those ourselves.
- Put all dirty bath and kitchen towels in the laundry room as well.
-Throw away any leftovers that are in the fridge.
-Take out the trash - it goes inside the dark lidded trashcan outside. Roll the green cans with trash in them down to the bottom of the driveway by the mailbox.
-Adjust the A/C to "Auto" and set it on "Cool" at 76 in Summer/Fall or "Heat" at 65 in Winter/Spring.
-Put any furniture that was moved back into its original place.
-Please lock all exterior doors and windows on your way out.
Our guests are welcome to use the pots, pans and dishes in the kitchen as much as they like. The cleaning fee does not cover washing dishes, please be sure they are clean and put away or cleaning in the dishwasher when you check out. Refer to the list of things above to see the other items not included in your cleaning fee. Our cleaning service charges $30/hr for additional cleaning.
From Jan 4 - 22, 2018 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
My husband Nate and I travel the country for most of the year. We love what we do and cannot get enough of helping others and sharing The Gospel.
