  • This was my first AirBNB experience and I could not have been more pleased. Staying with Susie and Enzo felt like staying with family in the best possible sense. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the warm hospitality from the pick up at the train station to the tour of Formia and near by Gaeta. I was lucky enough to come the weekend of the grape harvest and spent the day with Enzo's family picking grapes and making wine. It was truly a unique and unforgettable experience.
Logistically, it was quite easy to arrive from the Naples airport and then onwards again to Rome, which is great, because I hope to return.

  • What an awesome stay! Sue and Enzo are wonderful hosts, and the house is just paradise like they say. The view from the balcony is amazing. We just wish we stayed longer to experience the wine making... and/or the olive oil!

  • I cannot say enough good things about Enzo's place! The pictures accurately depict exactly what you can expect: a very clean, spacious, comfortable room with a full bathroom (very rare in Italy!) on a lovely and peaceful property in the hillside, just a few minutes from Formia beach. Susie is an amazing chef who welcomed us after a long day of travel with a full traditional Italian lunch and great conversation. After 5 days, we were so sad to leave and will be back as soon as we can! Treat yourself to a little respite in between busy Rome and Naples and stay in Formia at Enzo's place - you will be so happy you did!

  • It was with great pleasure that we stayed at Susie"s and Enzo"s BnB
Susie and Enzo are very kind and hospitable.
The lovely breakfast with pancakes and Enzo"s home made syrup , the fresh fruit and Susie"s delicious muffins were a delight.
Enzo told us about the area"s history and printed out maps with directions for us which made our next days of teavel so much easier.
We highly recommend Enzo"s place .
Our bedroom and bathroom was clean and comfortable.

  • Staying with Enzo and Sue is like staying with family, family you like! They are warm, generous and attentive with out being intrusive.

Every day I looked forward to breakfast. Which was a leisurely affair sitting at the sunny breakfast table enjoying the view and wonderful conversation with our hosts. Plus the amazing food, fresh local produce and Sue's wonderful cooking, including home made jams and new item each day.

Whilst the house is somewhat isolated Sue and Enzo were willing to drive us to all sorts of local destinations and collect us so it was never an issue.

Add in reliable wifi, a comfortable bed and a dog I wanted to steal and it was a truly a magical location. We would be thrilled to stay at Enzo's place again.

  • We stayed in Enzo's place during the weekend of S. Peter and Paul which is local vacation in Rome.

At beginning we felt a little bit lost since the Enzo's place is not so easy to find. Maybe a best street indication could be hopeful but Enzo guided at your home soon.

The room was nice and comfortable with a beatiful sight of Gaeta. Enzo and Susan are very kind and delightful.

The location is suitable for visiting Gaeta, Sperlonga and Scauri even if there was traffic in the state road Formia - Gaeta.

Susan is a fine chef and she prepared us a delicious breakfasts with pancakes and muffins. Also the fresh fruites were very good.

We will come back again and soon!

  • Dear Susie and Enzo,

What can we say! Thanks, thanks and many thanks.

You were both amazing hosts. Thanks for taking us to the market. Thanks for showing us the beach, where to eat and for the conversation.

The best breakfast we had in Italy!! Pancakes, fresh fruites, and the best cappucino. The cookbook you gave us will be with us forever and we will use your recipes.

Hope to be your neighbour one day!!!

  • If AirBnB gave an award for the best, most incredible hosts of all time, Enzo and Susie would take the cake!!! We stayed with them only 1 night, but left feeling that we were bidding farewell to lifelong friends. We would go back to Italy... just to see them! Both Enzo and Susie were so incredibly kind and genuinely interested in our well being and enjoyment of Italy. We talked for hours about travel, Europe, and food, all while making pizza from scratch and baking it in their outdoor brick oven. We visited the evening festival in Gaeta together and strolled while enjoying gelato. They picked us up from the train station and even gave us a ride the next day to Rome (they were going to Rome anyway for other obligations). Their quick tour was a great introduction to the eternal city. Not only would we recommend Enzo and Susie to anyone, but would say that anyone traveling between Rome and Naples is sorely missing out if they don't make a stop at Enzo's place in Formia. Ciao!
