I like to think that this experience can be a way to meet interesting people, and rediscover them through Rome, which is a very beautiful city.
For this reason, there are no special rules, except those dictated by a sense of courtesy and respect.
Guests have their own keys to the house so they can move at will.
Ortensia was very accommodating for our check in and met us with a bottle of wine which was lovely. The apartment is great, perfect size for five people.
Ortensia was a kind and generous host. She kept our bags and fed us water and Nutella and pastries in her apartment while we waited for the apartment to be ready. The locale is out of the tourist area which we liked. Public transportation is amazing. Ortensia helped us figure out how to get were we needed to go.
Great apartments and very hospital and nice owner Ortensia. Our family has loved this place!
We had a wondeful time in Rome. The apartment was as it was shown on air bnb. Great location Ortensia...we found it very easy to get around...the tram stopped right outside the apartment with supermarket, pizza and cafes all within a short walk...neighbourhood was lovely and quiet. Kind and friendly hosts.
The listing didn't do the Apartment justice. Lovely clean and well stocked. The welcome was excellent, gave us lots of tips for visiting Rome.
Our welcome was fantastic and there was fresh chilled water and wine in the fridge at no extra charge. Lovely basic breakfast foods available. Air conditioning in the main room and the main bedroom is a welcome relief during hotter periods with no additional charge for use.
The beds are extremely comfortable and in two large separate rooms, the set up is lovely and the outdoor spaces are very useful. We didnt cook on the outdoor grill but we made use of the suntrap patio. Be careful as it can get extremely hot out there although there are large shaded areas too.
The apartment is situated very close to the main tram line through Trestevere and there are buses at the stop nearby to go straight to Termini if required.
There are some lovely restaurants and bars within 5 minutes walking distance or less but with the tram stop only 100 metres away we hopped down to Trestevere for most meals.
The apartment is clean, the shower is hot and the facilities are excellent overall.
Overall the accommodation is fantastic and I wouldnt hesitate to book with Ortensia again. I will be visiting Rome a few times over the next three years while my friend studies and will book the same apartment if its available.
Ortensia is very helpful with travel arrangements too and will provide information and keep in touch through the website [which then arrives as a text]
Thank you Ortensia. Everything was wonderful !! xx
