About this listing
Welcome to my home, close to iconic Bondi beach and on the transport route to the bright lights of the city centre (7 kms: 15 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions) .
Set peacefully at the rear of a boutique refurbished Arts & Crafts period apartment block, the 104 m2 apartment is very comfortable. It is well furnished in an eclectic 'boho' style and I keep it very clean & tidy.
Private bedroom with very comfortable double bed, fresh towels & sheets, wardrobe, dressing table, high ceilings, free internet. Tea, coffee etc & basic home products (shampoo/conditioner/ laundry/ cleaning products, etc) are included.
You have shared use of the bathroom, kitchen, laundry (with washing machine & dryer) and the living area, including the sunny roof top deck. The bathroom has both a shower and a large bath where you can relax and ease muscles after a long day in the surf.. The kitchen is fully equipped and you are welcome to use the pots and pans and kitchenware if you would like to cook.
I work in the city everyday and enjoy the Bondi lifestyle on weekends, even if it's just walking down to the beach/esplanade to watch the waves, or hang out at the many beach side cafes with friends - there is always something to do or see in Bondi..
Help yourself to any appliances in the kitchen, blender, toaster and kettle along with basics like cereals, milk, teas, oils, herbs and spices.
There is a microwave, a washing machine and dryer, iron, bathtub and a hairdryer. Help yourself to any of those.
I have wifi internet and a full bookshelf if you like reading.
Fresh towels and beach towels if you're heading down there. There's a surfboard and boogie boards if you're adventurous.
A brisk 10 minute walk to Bondi beach and the scenic coastal paths to Bronte, Clovelly or to the cliffs of Dover Heights, wine and dine at the local cafes and restaurants, soak up the music from local venues, go crazy with shopping at Bondi Junction or take the bus/ train/ $25 cab fare to the Sydney nightlife and attractions.
Nearby restaurants: Japanese, Thai, Indian, Vegetarian, French, Modern, Pizza, Seafood, many great cafes to hang out. Good take-away food outlets as well as grocery stores, wine shops and delis for all your food needs.
I look forward to welcoming you to Bondi!
Activities you may want to do while in Bondi/Sydney:
Near my place:
Scuba diving at Camp Cove, horse riding or bike riding in Queens Park, walking along the cliffs from Coogee to The Gap, the Bondi-Bronte cliff walk, walking along the shore of the Harbour from Rose bay to Nielsens Park , renting a small catamaran in Rose Bay, or if you are a pro - get yourselves down to Rushcutters Bay yacht club (CYC) on a Saturday morning and get on one of the racing yachts. See a film at open air cinema in Queens park, learn to surf at Bondi and then there's just relax on the beach..
Walk the Harbour Bridge, do the bridge climb, take a ferry to Cockatoo Island and see Art work/performances or Shark Island and have a picnic, visit the museums, the aquarium, there may be some music festivals at that time,
Take the train to the Blue Mountains, stay overnight at the Carrington and do the bush walks.
Go to the various beautiful National Parks about 1 hour from Sydney and see waterfalls, lakes, deserted beaches, gum tree forests
Take the ferry and go anywhere in the Harbour and up the Parramatta river (the cost of a bus ticket)

That's enough for one day!

Francine was lovely, she was very helpful with tips and advice on Sydney. The apartment was very nice with excellent wifi, a great rooftop deck area and interesting art on every wall. It's only a short walk to either Bondi Beach or Bondi Junction so nice and handy to everything.
A quiet exotic paradise. Great to walk around this area of tropical parkland Bondi -Fantastic coffee nearby at Lilliputt. A short walk to the beach and easy access to the bus network into town. Francine is naturally a wonderful host.
Francine is a charming host and it was a real pleasure to stay in her comfortable apartment that is full of interesting art and artifacts. All facilities are available and an outstanding feature is the roof garden. Location is ideal, a few minutes walk down to the beach and on the 389 bus route which takes you to Bondi Junction and all the way into the Sydney CBD via Paddington. Bondi Junction of course has the bus and rail termini as well as a huge shopping mall where you can find anything you need. I would definitely stay with Francine again.
Lovely, helpful & friendly hoist. Easy to talk to and made us very welcome.
Francine's very interesting home is ideally located for travelling into the city or a pleasant stroll down to Bondi Beach. Lots of great coffee shops and restaurants located in Hall Street en route to the beach.
We were made very welcome by our charming & friendly host, who explained everything on our arrival including some basic house rules which made for a pleasant stay. Highly recommended and would be our first choice again when next we visit Sydney.
Francine is a lovely person. We enjoyed our stay with her and had a good time! The appartment is very clean and tidy.
Francine is fabulous person and reads lots of books!:) She is outgoing, helpful and respects privacy of others. Her flat is well located with easy access to Sidney city centre and walking distance to the Bondi beach. The room has a good size, large comfortable bed and a nice combination with a dining room and kitchen. Staying at Francine's place was a great experience that I would like to repeat.
About the Host, Francine
Hi, welcome to my page
I am a pretty laid back professional, I work in the city monday-friday as a policy advisor for a government department and enjoy the beach and social lifestyle of Bondi and Sydney on my days off.
I am healthy, energetic, fun/serious, open minded, you'll know up front what you need to know about sharing a place with me and I hope to expect that you will do the same with me so that we can live together in harmony.
I have travelled extensively and appreciate the little things that can make an arrival/stay in a strange or new city/country a positive experience.
What I enjoy: reading, the arts, arthouse/international films, people, learning, puzzles, walking, riding my bike, sitting in cafes discussing everything and anything, people watching, catching up with my kids (they've left home), music, silence, nature, the ocean and much much more :)
