Trish was beyond an excellent host. Her place was clean and beautiful and the property and surroundings were awe inspiring. She suggested some wineries and restaurants in town for us and even offered to help book them for my girlfriend and I. Additionally my girlfriend and I had just got back from a multi day hike and they allowed us to use their washing machine to clean our clothes. It was the best airbnb experience I've ever had.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Wanaka stop looking..this is the place ...excellent hosts, superb accommodation with outstanding views, by far the best place we have stayed on our travels...Thanks Trish, Davie, Poppy and Tiggy.
Excellent accommodation. Lovely spacious room with own facilities. Trish was very welcoming and helpful and also makes great muffins. Weather wasn't great for us but we managed to have lots of fun in lovely wanaka mountain biking. Thanks very much Trish!
Trish greeted us on our arrival and showed us around. Beautiful house and surroundings. Delicious food for breakfast, including home made muffins and jams. Nice, quiet street away from the bustling, congested centre of Wanaka. Just a short walk down to the lake shore and a restaurant where we had good dinners. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Wanaka.
The description of the studio says there are 2 bedrooms. In reality, there is one large room with kitchen facilities and two beds, one at each end of the room. A large accordian floor screen separates one bed from the rest of the room. This arrangement was not a big problem for us but could be for two other visitors expecting to have private bedrooms.
What a beautiful place, thanks to the outstanding view and garden, but mostly thanks to hosts Trish and Davy who made us feel more than welcome with all the special touches like homemade goodies (and lots of it!), toys, plates and a highchair for our kid and the herbs we could pick from the garden. Thanks a kot, we had a great time, very relaxing!
Wonderful! For those that remember the great Tina Turner record....."Simply the best, better than all the rest"...,
This is a beautiful place to stay. The view from the backyard is stunning. The hosts were incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We didn't want to leave. They even had great homemade gluten free muffins.
