The space

Landhaus Quilcene is a very private gated residence situated on 15 acres (6 hectares) of forest land. The property features the main 2 bedroom, 1 bath cedar home (1,064 sq ft/99 m2) with fully screened covered sun porch and wrap-around deck, and 2 adjacent cozy guest cabins. (Sleeps 8 people). Fully equipped kitchen, wireless Internet access, TV with Blu Ray DVD player but no TV reception.
A private hiking trail loops its way through the property and offers guests a convenient choice for exercising, walking their dog, or just a relaxing walk to observe the wildlife in the forest. Distant from any traffic noise, a more relaxing time would be hard to find. The ideal setting for a relaxing weekend away from the stress of life in the city or as a base camp to explore the beautiful hiking paths and mountains of the Olympic National Forest, or drive to nearby towns of Port Townsend, Sequim or Poulsbo for sightseeing and shopping.

Landhaus Quilcene is located 5 miles north of the town of Quilcene in Jefferson County (WA), an easy driving distance to all major scenic spots on the Olympic Peninsula.

Landhaus Quilcene is located near the Buckhorn Wilderness Area of the Olympic National Forest and many spectacular hiking trails (e.g., Mt. Townsend, Mt. Walker, Mt. Zion, Big Quilcene River), viewpoints, waterfalls, and the shores of Dabob Bay and Quilcene Bay. It can be reached within a 1.5 -2 hour drive from Seattle, which includes a scenic 30-minute passage on a Washington State ferry.

The pictures don't do it justice. The Landhaus is lovingly cared for and decorated. The house, deck, and yard are a perfect spot to hangout and catch up. I will definitely return on my next trip.

Always a great place to stay. Even during winter, it’s a cozy place and so quiet/relaxing. So peaceful waking up on a property surrounded by trees.

The pictures really don't do the property justice. The inside is cozy, super clean/thoughtfully appointed, and bright. Lots of really nice touches and new equipment/peripherals. The fully fenced yard's great for dogs, and there's a nice little loop trail that runs around the pro…

Lovely, secluded place to unwind. Only main sounds to be heard are birds in the trees, and if you happen to be there during the fall, the wind and rain. Great little private walking trail with a sitting bench overlooking a ravine of treed landscape. This place is great for an ind…

Our family of five from Seattle had a wonderful four night stay at the Landhaus. The separate cabins were perfect arrangement to give the older boys some privacy. We found some great road and gravel cycling nearby. Gravel roads from Lords Lake to Mt Zion trailhead, from the cabin…
