About this listing
Have you dreamed of staying in a vintage Airstream? Live your dream and come stay with us. Our 29 foot 1973 International Ambassador Airstream is a vintage jewel awaiting your visit! We like to call her "Delta Dawn" because her former owners spent a lot of time touring with her in the Southeastern US. Delta Dawn sleeps 2 comfortably on 1 queen bed. It’s the perfect getaway for a romantic adventure.
Why stay in a hotel or motel when you can have your own Airstream adventure just outside downtown Ashland? This is a vacation opportunity unlike any other available in the Ashland area. You could call this camping, but it’s far from “roughing it.” It’s more like glamorous camping or “glamping!” There's an outside Weber gas barbecue grill, cedar lounging deck and a private, elevated dining patio.
Delta Dawn is a great home base for a visit to the Oregon Shakespeare Theater and all that Southern Oregon offers.
Outside she's polished and shiny, inside she's comfortable and cozy. Delta Dawn is parked in a private, designated area on our 2 acre property and comes with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We are situated just outside the city limits, 3.5 miles from downtown Ashland and a short walk to numerous hiking and biking trails.
We have made sure that you will have all the comforts of home in our Airstream. She includes private bath (toilet and shower), dining area, couch, TV with local reception, WIFI and a kitchenette that includes coffee, tea, basic spices, a refrigerator/freezer, sink, gas stove top, blender, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans and kitchen utensils. There is heating, air conditioning and hot running water. The Airstream is fully equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay including fresh linens and towels. You will have your own key so come and go as you like.
Sleeping accommodations include a bedroom with a new memory foam queen sized bed. The bed is dressed with luxury linens. You will have plenty of room to store your belongings in the wardrobe style closet. There's even a full length mirror on the closet door.
The bathroom is compact but functional. It has a full size toilet and a stand-up shower with plenty of hot water, shampoo, conditioner and bath gel.
Since Delta Dawn is compact and cozy, she's not appropriate for families with children, and sorry, no pets or smoking.
So get out your "glamping" gear and come on! We'd love to have you stay with us soon.

The Airstream, which we refer to as "Delta Dawn" is over 40 years old. She's seen a lot of use and some abuse, so we ask you to treat her with respect and be gentle with her. We have updated everything, but we still expect that some of her features may need some adjustment. We will be on hand to assist with correcting anything that isn't just right. Sorry, but the Airstream is not set up for pets. No smoking is allowed.
The Airstream felt like home for the two nights we spent there.Michael greeted us on arrival and explained how everything works since we have never been in an Airstream before. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, all the needed appliances, and a relaxing setting (saw deer and plenty of hummingbirds). We loved Ashland and the Delta Dawn!
The Airstream trailer is comfy and well appointed. Thank goodness for the air conditioning; it was very warm in Ashland during our stay.
It is a short drive to downtown Ashland.
For groceries, we discovered Shop n' Kart on Ashland St; it's straight down Tolman Creek Rd ... very convenient with good prices, too.
While downtown, be sure to stop at Mix Bakeshop for pastries, coffee and really good ice cream.
If you have time, drive out to Crater Lake. Be sure to take the Dead Indian Road route. The road had little traffic and was very scenic.
Thank you Marty and Michael for providing such a unique place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary! We appreciated your warm welcome and found the accommodations to be more than we expected. The location could not have been better with extensive hiking trails just blocks away and downtown within 5 minutes. The peace and quiet, privacy and outdoor space beat a hotel any day of the week!
Marty & Michael made us feel very welcome upon our arrival. Pleased to see that the Airstream is exactly as pictured! I would say our hosts do whatever is needed to make their quests comfortable.
The bed is amazing. You can lay there and look up and see the stars through the windows. Very cool.
Everything was clean and in working order. No complaints!
It was our first visit to Ashland and we will be back!
I will recommend Duex Chats bakery in town. They are open Fri-Sat. Best pastries ever.
Marty and Michael greeting me and showed me around the trailer - they were friendly, helpful and i could not have hoped for a better greeting.
More often than not images show a place in the best light - not here. The trailer looks amazing, and is well kept. Everything works and one cannot help but notice the love and work that went into the place - simply amazing. Its a unique place to stay!
I am hoping to come back for another stay one day - thank you very much!
We had such an amazing time staying at Marty's airstream. The inside was very cozy and clean, with plenty of room. The outdoor area was a huge plus with tons of space to lay out and even barbecue. I would recommend both visiting Ashland and staying with Marty to anyone who asks!

About the Host, Marty
My husband and I love restoring old jewels to their former glory. This vintage Airstream is a prime example of such an undertaking. We've lived in our home outside Ashland for 13 years and enjoy all this community has to offer. We hope you will decide to use our Airstream as a base while you explore and enjoy our town.
