Victorian garden apartment located in ideal Mission setting - quiet tree-lined street minutes away from restaurants, clubs, galleries and Mission culture. Designed and furnished expressly for those desiring the privacy and luxury of a good hotel combined with the spirit of San Francisco, this apartment is ideal for those wanting the comforts of home in an amazing location to venture out for city exploring.
The Mission District is one of the sunniest neighborhoods in San Francisco and convenient to downtown, the Castro District, Moscone Center, the Design District, as well as Dolores Park and AT&T park.
Ground floor of a historic Victorian from the 1890's, this large studio apartment has a private entrance, hardwood floors, beautifully mosaic-ed bathroom, high ceilings and period details. It is charming and fully furnished with an organic cotton queen bed, luxurious bedding, plenty of storage space and a large, cheerful, and fully equipped eat-in kitchen. For a studio apartment, this is on the large side, with a wide and long hallway that serves as office space.
The entry hallway has a couch that folds into a twin sized mattress. It's a tight fit, but perfect for that third person, or if quests prefer not to share the queen bed.
A beautiful garden and historic carriage house is right out your kitchen window and there is shared washer and dryer if required. The apartment is stocked with maps, guidebooks, and local magazines.
24th Street Bart (Bay Area Rapid Transit, SF's Subway) is a ten minute walk away, and a bus line that goes straight downtown is one block away. Parking is street only, but you'd be staying in one of the most walkable neighborhoods in the country, and have access to multiple forms of public transportation.
Please contact me if you have any questions about the unit.
First and foremost: respect our neighbors! The building is 3 units, and the other 2 are have full-time residents. We're all a great bunch in the building, but please be appropriately quiet, especially at night.
Please, absolutely NO smoking in the apartment or back garden.
I live in one of the greatest homes in the Mission. This house is full of artists, activists, and people who do good work for the world, so if you stay here you are in fabulous company. I own a Montessori pre-school, have been a practicing Buddhist since 1984 and love the Bay Area. I am taking over managing from Bryan, who moved to Sacramento.
