  • Rodolfo Y Alicia Lopez were more than accommodating. I was only staying here 2 days and traveling to Bariloche from a long distance bus which ran hours late. I messaged Rodolfo y Alicia and there more than happy to let me check in and check out at any time. When I arrived Rodolfo, provided me a little map pointing out all the grocery stores, restaurants, shops areas, tourist agencies, and bars which was awesome since I had no idea were anything was. He was usually home if I every needed everything and he also allowed me to print a few things (bus tickets, tour vouchers, etc.) without hesitation.

The place is definitely worth the money. You get a single room in a safe area with a small kitchen (with a sink, microwave, stove) and a very nice bathroom all to yourself. It is well maintained and definitely provides a cabin feel. The location is only 4 blocks from the center of the city and it was a breeze to walk to and from my stay to the city at any time of the day.

Definitely would recommend this place to anyone visiting.

  • First things first: would we recommend Rodolfo and Alicia? YES!

Our apartment was very nice and is also suited for a long stay for a whole family. We have been only 3 nights and as a couple.

Rodolfo was very helpful with information about the city and what we can do. Furthermore he was helping us with an issue we had with our car, we even don't needed to ask, he was faster asking if he could help. Thanks so much for that!

  • The best part of our experience was the warm and detailed attention by the hosts. They helped us find the information we needed before our trip via e-mail and went more than an extra mile getting us everything we needed to make the best use of our trip. Simply: excellent hospitality.
The apartment was very nice as met our expectations. It is very well taken care of and has all details you would expect from such a place. It is also very cute and picturesque.
To top this all, the price was more than reasonable. I don't think you can get any other comparable accommodation in this area for the price Rolo and Alicia offer.
The only downsides I can think of, if I want to be picky are that the location is "very uphill" from downtown, including one string just like the famous winding road in Lombard St in San Francisco and all. If you don't like climbing, you won't feel as near from downtown as you really are just because of this. The only other minor thing for me was the bathroom: while clean and functional and complete, the shower space is tiny. It is enough to get a quick, organized shower after a full day outside, but do not expect to have a hot steam shower or a full body bath.
All in all, I would fully recommend this place to almost any sort of traveler.

  • Very cute small apartment attached to a house. It is located in a residential neighborhood just a few blocks (maybe 5 blocks) from the downtown. We didn't mind the short walk to downtown because it is all downhill but going back is like walking up Lombard street, so be prepared, not ideal for someone who cannot walk a lot. Location was great for us though because we both enjoy walking and even did a run from the apartment down to the lakefront.

Apartment had all the basic essentials and it was great to be able to take food from the market and store in the fridge or to cook, especially if you are staying there for more than a few days. Apartment also included a maid, so we didn't have to worry about it getting messy. We really liked our stay here and would probably choose it again over the big hotels that are located right downtown. Our only complaint is that the mattress on the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but if you are only staying for a few days then it probably won't be a problem.

The hosts were very hospitable and offered us advice on where to get a rental car and even called us a cab when we were leaving. Although, their English wasn't that great, we were able to communicate in Spanish and broken English.

This place has a lot of charm, you feel like you are living in Bariloche, and the hosts are really the nicest of people.
