It was a real treat to stay here. Cyril was a gracious host and greeted up with a lovely breakfast in the morning. The room is clean and inviting with a very comfortable bed.

Throughly enjoyed our night in Cork at Cyril's place. The views to the river were amazing and having a king size bed with a real Irish woollen blanket was lovely to sleep under. We had a lovely breakfast with Cyril where he shared lots of stories and history of Ireland which added to the enjoyment of our short stay.

Even though my husband and I only got to stay one night at Cyril's place, we had a great time. Walking distance to the town and he made us a wonderful breakfast in the morning and gave us great tips on what to see!

Cyril was a very kind and helpful host who provided us with great recommendations for what to see and do and also cooked us a very delicious breakfast for each morning of our stay. This room is in a great location extremely close to the train and bus stations. I would highly recommend Cyril's place and would be very happy to stay here again next time I am in Cork.

My husband and I spent one night with Cyril and we enjoyed old fashioned hospitality which is in scarce supply these days. His house is very interesting like himself. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast included strawberries and blackberries and the usual fry up. His house is only a few minutes from the city centre but there are lots of restaurants in the area. We were sorry not to have more time in Cork. I would recommend this to anyone who does not like bland hotels. #

Cyril User ProfileCyril is a superhost.

Having graduated from University College Cork with a Commerce degree I worked in our family hotel outside Cork city for over 20 yrs. I now run a small bed and breakfast close to the city center of Cork. With a strong mixture of Gaelic and Norman blood running through my veins I am very interested in Irish and European history. Having studied Gaelic, Latin, French,Italian and Spanish I would like to have the time to master some of them.I tend more towards classical music with a strong bias to Italian Opera.
