It was really great experience for me. When I just arrived Ketut upgraded my room to great flat upstairs. It has got a big space, beautiful veranda and comfy bed. It was a welcome surprise for me and I am glad to have it. The place is close enough to central Ubud but great to spent peaceful time in the middle of nature. Breakfast was also awesome, especially banana pancake
I stayed with Ketut and his family for 11 days. Traveling as a single lady, staying with a local Balinese family and in their compound was quite a special experience and just what I needed. I felt very safe and cared for. The room was clean and it was cleaned daily with a large comfy bed, private bath, kitchenette, A/C and front patio. Location is just on the outskirts of Ubud's center, an easy 10 minute scooter ride for access or retreat back from the center's busy-ness. Plenty of greenery around like a Balinese garden, makes you feel you have your own space and at the same time among family. It was quite special to be around Ketut's glowing smile, his family and eating rambutans directly from their trees.
Wishing you and your family all the best, Ketut. Thanks much for your warm hospitality and generosity. Take care and hope to see you again.
Ketut's Homestay was the highlight of our trip to Bali. It will be difficult to put in words how wonderful the experience of staying at his homestay really was. From the way Ketut welcomed us to his village temple ceremony the day we arrived to the most amazing pancakes ever, it was one pretty dream. 20 Payogan radiates such positive energy and warmth that its hard to not have that hangover when you're back to wherever you belong. Ketut would hum 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' some mornings with a dash of 'Nahi Nahi' and 'Achha' sometimes which is so endearing. His family is incredibly welcoming. Wayan and Maddi are like our lost buddies from another lifetime. Its highly recommended for anyone wanting true Balinese love and hospitality experience :)
Ketut and his family were great hosts. We really enjoyed our stay in Ubud and would definitley recommend this place.
I had a most wonderful stay at Ketut's Payogan Village! The accommodations were clean, the Internet good and the amenities just as described. The best part of my stay was the warmth and genuine kindness of Ketut and his family. First rate hospitality and attention to my comfort. What a wonderful way to discover the true spirit of Bali! I highly recommend Payogan Village and will return again whenever I come to Bali.
The experience is overall was good, we got a complimentary breakfast the first day and we were able to rent the bikes on site including the rain coats for 60k.
Ketut and his family were always very friendly with us.
Negative things :
1) The rooms look nicer in pics than in reality
2) There is no hot water
I recommend this place for someone who only wants a place to sleep !
