The grassy garden is a peaceful and open space with contemporary decking and garden furniture for al-fresco dining in warmer weather.
The gorgeous expanse of Richmond Park is right on your doorstep; it is a national nature reserve and Special Conservation area as well as one of London’s Royal Parks, spreading over 2000 acres (offering fantastic cycling for the family). Its sheer vastness is a rarity in a busy, urban capital City, but what’s more it is home to herds of red and fallow deer, amongst other wildlife, which roam freely and are an incredible sight to see! Take a long walk or picnic in the grounds and you will feel as though you are in the rural countryside! There are several Golf Courses nearby such as Coombe Hill which is a members club however also welcomes visitors (enquire via the website for a booking). There are some convenience stores on Roehampton Vale for local shopping and further along Kingston Hill (take the number 85 bus to be there in minutes). As well as supermarkets there is a choice of restaurants and cafes along in the nearby areas of Richmond, Wimbledon and Putney.
To get into central London there is the 85 bus which will take you to Putney Bridge rail and tube station in about 20 minutes. Alternatively Norbiton train station (a 10 minute bus journey on K3 bus picked up from outside the property) has rail trains going to Wimbledon or Waterloo where you can switch to the District line, or Clapham for the Overground and Southern trains. The District line will take you up to Kensington, Victoria and Westminster by the River Thames. To reach Oxford Street, switch to the Central line from Notting Hill Gate and go straight to Oxford Circus for the delights of the West End!
