Skipper is set up for your fishing trip or weekend family getaway near Cedar Creek Lake. Enjoy our campground in this 1964 Avion Coach with deck, outdoor eating & cooking and rock firepit. With room to park and plug in, 3 comfortable beds, and a spacious deck for hanging out, Skipper is an easy escape! Located at safe & quiet Cedar Creek Camp, a mile from the lake, with something for everyone. All guests use our beautiful bath house.
The space
Skipper is located in the tall cedars is at Cedar Creek Camp, a small family owned and operated campground in Crab Orchard, Kentucky. The covered deck and side yard creates outside space to spread out. You may cook on the deck or eat out locally. *BYOB - Remember to Bring Your Own Bedding!! Every cabin has fresh mattress & pillow covers. As a campground, our guests bring their own bedding and towels. (We do keep a few extra of these on hand for emergencies so if you forget, please ask.) Cedar Creek Camp hosts a variety of guests in RV sites, tent sites, cabins and onsite vintage campers and can accommodate groups.
Guest access
Guests have a large campsite with outside room for kayaks, bikes, ice chests, etc. There is parking enough for
2 vehicles and will accommodate a boat trailer, with a place to plug in. Cooking water is available from a nearby hydrant. All guests utilize the bath house, which includes two bathrooms separated by the washroom, consisting of laundry, sink, cookware to borrow, coffee maker, mini-frig and microwave.
COOKING AND FOOD PREP: There's a propane grill on the deck for cooking. (We provided propane!)
BEDDING: Freshly covered mattresses adn pillows provided! Guests bring their own bedding. (*see description!)
COMFORT: Skipper is in a shady spot, and well insulated. It stays warm in winter and cool in summer. There is a window air condition, small fan and small heater.
CAMPFIRE: There is a firepit in the side yard. You are welcome to have fires, and if you need firewood, just let us know, we can have waiting for you. (a pretty large bundle is $12)
Guests are also welcome to enjoy the playground, basketball court, outside shower, off leash dog park, froggy pond or just walk around camp. Guests are welcome to stroll around camp.
BATH HOUSE: has 2 restrooms, each with sink, shower and commodes. The outside shower is an option that many guests enjoy. The hot water is great. There's a coin operated laundry (washer and dryer) (bring quarters or we may have some available also) and kitchen sink in the bath house's wash room.
Other things to note
This is a locally owned and operated campground. Quiet hours are 9pm to 9am (you may come and go anytime). You are welcome to have guests but please let us know. (In this way we can keep track of who is on grounds, for the security of all.) Camp Rules and Terms apply to all guests and are posted at information board by office. Thank you!
