Just some SIMPLE rules:
-Types of cooking can be discussed
-Try to keep your space and living space clean
-Always do your dishes
-Don't be too cautious as I want you to feel at home, but that being said, PLEASE be aware of too much noise after certain hours, it is a large loft so noise travels easily.

-If you use the shower, please turn on the vent fan in the bathroom. It is next to the light switch. And please close the shower curtain when you are done so it can air out.
The apartment it's just like the photos, stylish, clean and with plenty of ambient light. The view on Manhattan is great and the neighborhood is safe. Everything is within walking distance and Union Square is just 10 min away. Jeannan was very friendly and always available to answer any question. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again.
Jeanann took great care of us getting the key and finding our way to her place as she herself was out of town. She was also always available by e-mail, a very friendly and helpful host. We had absolutely no problems. The place was superbly situated, a safe area with a walking distance to the area round Bedford avenue and all the nice cafes and restaurants. Also a very fast metro connection to Manhattan. The apartment was very clean and fresh, and the room was large enough for two (with big suitcases). Absolutely loved the place, and always felt like coming home in the evenings. I woul definitely recommend to everybody looking for a comfortable stay in Brooklyn.
I stayed at Jeanann's apartment for 5 nights in April 2014. The apartment was in an excellent location in Brooklyn, a 2 minute walk to the L train and in close proximity to many grocery stores, restaurants, bars, takeaway etc. Jeanann was a great host, always available to answer questions prior to and during my stay and was speedy on her replies. The photos are an accurate reflection of the apartment, which had lots of natural light and was very clean. One thing to note is that Jeanann rented out another room in the apartment during my stay which I wasn't aware of prior to booking, however given it's New York I barely saw the other guests anyway. Next time I'm in New York I would definitely stay here again!
Was my 1st time at Jeanann's place. Her description of the apartment, the amenities and pics did justice to what I found. It's cosy, very bright, and is very well located (e.g. close to subway station, grocery stores, fine restaurants + bars). Prior to my reservation, Jeanann answered all my questions very quickly, and sent me last minute tips for her apartment and the neighbourhood. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there and wouldn't hesitate to go back or send my friends there.
Very nice and comfortable stay, great location, highly recommended. Jeannan is an awesome host!
I think the pictures do justice to Jeanann's apartment, which is full of light in Brooklyn. We just wrapped up a stay in her second floor room leading into New Year's Eve and enjoyed the convenient location close to the L stop. Jeanann wasn't there during our stay, but she was quick to reply when we needed an umbrella, and she generously shared hers with us. Although the room is pretty tight, for the price, I think it's a great place to stay. I would recommend it.
