  • A charming mountain getaway, and exactly what we desired for our anniversary week. The cabin has a spacious open floor plan and an easy to use and highly charming wood stove fireplace. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the stream added the perfect ambiance for a game of cards at the kitchen table. We kept the radio tuned to 90.5 to hear the App State station, which plays great indie rock and bluegrass. Location is so important, and this cabin is close to downtown Boone, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Lowe's grocery store, and a gas station. It's only a short drive to Blowing Rock, skiing or snow tubing, and wineries. Liz was an excellent host, as well: easy to contact and eager to assist. Thanks, Liz, for sharing this special retreat with us!

  • My best friend and I really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, so we were able to cook all of our meals in. We also spent an entire day sitting by the wood fire watching it snow. We'll be back in warmer weather so we can enjoy the front porch!

  • The cabin location is amazing. We were 5 minutes from the shopping center and 10 minutes from downtown Boone. The cabin was cozy and had the homy feeling. Everything was included in the cabin. I gave it a 4 star because the cabin was dirty, the throw in the living room was dirty. The sheet in the bedroom was dirty. There was a pile of dirt in the kitchen next to a little desk. Overall, if she spend some money to have a maid come over and clean it, and for her to come over and inspect it before guess arrive that will change my score to 5 stars.

  • My husband booked us a week-long visit in Boone. The cabin was warm and cozy even when the temperatures dropped. There is plenty of stacked firewood for the fireplace. We cooked at the cabin often and found the kitchen well stocked. It is truly nestled on the babbling creek, and close to town. The only concern was the small water heater. We enjoyed our snowy stay & Liz was an excellent host -- quick to respond! Book with confidence!

  • We really enjoyed our time at Liz's creekside cabin in Boone, Nc. We spent the week enjoying a "Babymoon" and it proved relaxing, quiet and private. Liz was a great host, the house was well cleaned and prepped for cold weather. Any info you request, Liz is right there with great recommendations! We enjoyed great local fare, hiking and adventured to neighboring towns. The cabin is quaint but homey and is lightly stocked with essentials which was very convenient! If ever in Boone again, we will be sure to come back!

  • This place is so awesome! Very quite, right in front of the stream and right near downtown Boone. Beautiful, clean, homey and the perfect getaway. Highly, highly recommend. Not one negative thing about it.

  • This little cabin was exactly what we needed for our quick getaway to Boone! Only 5 minutes to town, yet quiet and relatively private, we felt like we had the best of both worlds. Liz was a great host, and everything was just as advertised. Next time we're in Boone, we will certainly be booking this place again if it is available.

  • Quaint, comfy, clean cabin close to downtown Boone. Didn't want to get out of the bed in the morning (bed was super comfy!), and I enjoyed listening to the creek as I fell asleep at night. Cabin is in a quiet area with little-to-no noise from neighbors.
This was my first experience with airbnb, and I'm pleased with how things turned out. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I return to the area.
Liz was an excellent host, very prompt in her communication. Kitchen was stocked with some essentials, including coffee/teas.
Wireless internet worked well throughout the cabin.

About
I grew up in Boone, NC and moved about during my 20's and 30's getting a culinary degree, working as a restaurant chef, research and development chef and then as a caterer and personal chef. I moved back to Boone to get an acupuncture degree and my aunt passed along to me this cute little cabin which I find to be a great retreat. I hope you will too.
