About This Listing
Location! Porch rockers, creek, Lg windows, full kitchen. Listen to the creek as you fall asleep on full size memory foam. Cuddle by the Fire, Watch leaves fall. Feels miles away but close to town. Perfect for 1 or 2. Hiking, kayaking, resting.
Living room from Front door with Kitchen in the background. Note the big windows that overlook the creek.
The cabin is our getaway and now you can enjoy it too. I keep kitchen basics on hand for my use and yours and there is plenty of space for your stuff too. It is like staying in your friends house... but she is away.
The neighborhood is composed of retirees and some young couples. Houses are within sight but just enough distance for privacy and peace.
The cabin is designed for the comfort of 1 or 2 people. Please enjoy and treat it with love.
We loved the place! Neat, cozy, and the kitchen had all the implements we needed. Constant sound from the creek is relaxing too. Feels remote, but quick access to town. Tons of great options for hiking in the area. Grandfather Mountain, accessed by the profile trail at hwy 105 was rewarding.
Just had a great relaxing stay at Liz's cabin by the creek. I loved the covered deck for watching the rain. The place was small and quaint, just as Liz said. We had everything we needed. Would love to stay again. Nice scenic and short drive to App State. Also loved the Joy Bistro, Mass General, & Murphys. The campus was beyond belief. Everyone we met were so friendly. Great hiking trails everywhere. Not fancy but super comfortable. Thx Liz.
Liz was very helpful and welcoming. The cabin was as advertised, though a little more rustic than the mountain cabin experience I was looking for.
I think it would definitely be perfect for those looking for a very quiet weekend away with it's location, but still quite close to town. The big drawback was the road in and driveway which were a little too rough for my non-SUV vehicle.
This quaint cabin in the heart of Boone is too cozy for words! It was unseasonably cold so we were able to put the woodstove to use for our 2 day trip. The full size bed was very comfortable and the room heated up quickly. I love the views from the large windows. I would suggest packing slippers though, as the floor gets cold and your feet get dirty. I loved this little cabin and would love to visit during Autumn when we could sit out on the porch and listen to the creek. Thanks Liz for the use of your family treasure.
Liz was a great host, super communicative up to and during the trip. I felt completely at home. The cabin was cozy and clean. It was a great location to get into town, but also far enough away that the only sound was the babbling creek outside.
The cabin is fantastic - clean, large, cozy, full of fun stuff, and right next to a gurgling creek. So lovely!
This cozy cabin was exactly what we expected: secluded- yet near town, rustic- yet with all the essentials, and the creek is pretty amazing! Liz was a great host - responsive, friendly, accessible. We will definitely stay again on our next visit to Boone.
About the Host, Liz
I grew up in Boone, NC and moved about during my 20's and 30's getting a culinary degree, working as a restaurant chef, research and development chef and then as a caterer and personal chef. I moved back to Boone to get an acupuncture degree and my aunt passed along to me this cute little cabin which I find to be a great retreat. I hope you will too.
