💤 The light filled master bedroom has a king-sized bed, vanity sink, generous storage and stunning views over Cork harbour.
🛌 The second large bedroom has a queen-sized bed, vanity basin, desk and plenty of storage.
🛌 One large single bedroom with a full size single bed in a tepee style bed stocked with lots of books, toys and a workspace. Stunning views over the harbour. 🛥️
🛏️ Another single bedroom, perfect for children with a selection of books and toys and fabulous seaside views with blackout blinds.
The ground floor has an open plan kitchen, large dining and living space. The kitchen is fully stocked with necessary utensils and some condiments with all you need to whip up a home-cooked meal. (There are lovely restaurants nearby if you would prefer that too).
There are two beautiful patios on both sides of the house to enjoy the morning or evening sun. Take a moment to watch the sunrise over the harbour with a birdseye view of the ocean and all the action on the harbour with sailing boats on weekend mornings.
There is a full size playroom/Den on the basement level with access to the large garden with ocean views. There are ample toys there to help little ones settle in and allow you to enjoy your coffee in the sun outside. This is is also a perfect workspace with ergonomic office chair if someone needs some space and time to catch up on some work.
We have a dedicated laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier and indoor Sheila maid rack for drying clothes in the basement if you need it during your stay. Ironing board, iron and supplies are also included. All linen and towels provided.
There is excellent Wi-Fi available for home working with three possible work spaces.
Enjoy all the joys of living at the harbour while staying with us. Take a stroll and enjoy a coffee at our local Italian coffee shop and sit on the oceans edge within five minute walk from the house. Take a leisurely walk down the hill to the fabulous Bosun restaurant for a lovely meal or a pizza and pint in the local pub the Ensign.
Take advantage of all the amenities near by Monkstown Sailing Club, Monkstown Golf Course, Monkstown Tennis Club and lots more. We are a short spin from Crosshaven, Kinsale and Cobh and close to Cork City for shopping and dining out.
Our home is listed as a historic building on the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage of Ireland. The description of the terrace will interest those who have an interest in architectural heritage. "An imposing terrace of six houses, which makes an eye-catching landmark in the surrounding area. Set on an elevated site overlooking the harbour, these were built as high-status homes in the most fashionable architectural style of the day. They are unusually large scale for terraced dwellings, as buildings of this size would more usually be detached or at least semi-detached. The gabled breakfront, variety of window openings and render detail create a lively facade, which thankfully retains much of its historic fabric intact."
