The Space

Welcome to our small and cozy guest suite, that has its own separate entrance giving you privacy and silence. We hope you'll make the most out of your stay in the Wine Country in this quiet and peaceful space. Tucked in a grove of blackberry bushes with a large grass yard, you can relax in its comfy futon bed and explore our traveler's library to plan hikes around the area. Its windows face the beautiful morning sun - with blinds, of course, and has candles and paper lantern for soft light in the evening. It is equipped with a mini-fridge, a coffee maker and speakers for you mp3 player.

Off street parking is available, as well as quick access to Highway 12, Highway 101, or the main public transit center, which is a 10 minute walk from here. Santa Rosa Airport 15 minute drive from here. And if you are touring on your bike or considering renting bikes in town, we can safely lock them inside.

We are located just a couple of blocks from the beautiful Luther Burbank Home and Gardens, and also within walk distance from downtown Santa Rosa, where you can experience the Russian River Brewery, the Railroad Square District, Sonoma County's excellent Farmer's Markets and delicious international cuisine.

Our sunny space even boasts a private yoga studio which may be available for your personal practice, or for taking private classes, depending on our schedule.

If you are interested in outdoor activities, the Santa Rosa Creek Trail (which connects to the Joe Rodota Bike Trail to Sebastopol) are just minutes from our doorstep. A short drive away you will also find Santa Rosa's best natural attractions: Annadel State Park, Spring Lake Regional Park, and Howarth Park, not to mention the Russian River beaches. There are numerous activities to do: hiking, swimming, tennis, fishing, boating, road biking, and mountain biking.

  • Wonderful host, great location, just perfect!

  • The guest house was just perfect, located close to US-101 and SR-12, while being in walking distance to downtown Santa Rosa. The neighborhood was quite and very peaceful. The fresh blackberries and freshly ground coffee were a plus! The futon bed was surprisingly comfortable. My husband and I would definitely stay here again.

  • Joao was an excellent host! He ground us fresh coffee and left us fruit from his beautiful garden. It was very nice to have our own little cottage in the backyard, which felt very private and quiet. Santa Rosa is lovely and Joao made sure we enjoyed our stay by providing suggestions for restaurants and bars. If we are ever in the area again, we would love to stay here!

  • A very cute & conveniently located place to stay while visiting Santa Rosa. It was within easy walking distance of restaurants & the breweries. It was super quiet & very private. The bed was very comfortable & we slept there very well. I appreciated the use of the mini fridge to keep things cold. I also was very grateful for the coffee Joao provided. It was a great place to use as our base for exploring Santa Rosa.

  • I stayed at João's guest house for three night's during a wedding in Santa Rosa. I couldn't have made a better choice! The room was clean and just as described. The place is a 15 minute walk through the park to the Hyatt (where most guests were staying), it's around the corner from a terrific breakfast place (Dierk's Parkside Cafe) and so, so quiet. João was very communicative, friendly and helpful. Do it!

  • Our stay in the studio was nice. The studio is "basic" but we had what we needed for a pleasant stay. Joao was eager to be helpful and made sure we had what we needed. We would certainly stay again.
