I have an extra bedroom that I am renting out for travelers. It is just a few minutes away from the interstate, so it is an ideal location for those traveling cross-country who want to stop over for a night or two. However, there are many attractions nearby, such as the acclaimed Henry Doorly Zoo, as well as bike paths and restaurants nearby.
I prefer to go to bed around midnight when I work, but I stay up a little later on weekends, which would be my preferred time to host people. I am willing to host for up to four days, but be sure to bring your own sleeping bags/ blankets if more than two people are coming over.
No shoes inside the house. No smoking inside or around the house.
The reservation was canceled 6 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I stayed with Alex three nights during a history conference in Council Bluffs and it was adequate. It was clean and quiet, Alex was hospitable and most understanding of my late arrivals each night, and the house is conveniently located though for me a bit difficult to find. Another time, I probably would choose a place with a regular bed rather than a low cot. It might work better for someone closer to Alex's college age. I'm 77 and it is not that easy any more to regain my feet after sleeping that close to the floor!
Alex's place was perfect for us. He responded and took us in on short notice. It was really clean and organized, and Alex was really chill. It was close to the highway and other attractions. we wanted a nightcap and Alex was willing to walk us to a local bar. really great experience overall.
I currently have a fluid self-concept right now, and I am fine with that. Right now, I am finishing a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, so that is where I spend the bulk of my time.

I believe that everyone is united in some way, and that each person is a piece of the puzzle. It is important to explore this on a personal level. Travelling is one way to do this on an intensive level.
