Tiny but very convenient kitchen with everything to cook. Toilets and bathroom are separated. Fresh sheets, linens and towels are furnished.

THE AREA : The flat is ideally located in the center of Paris, in the west part of the 11th district, right on the edge of the beautiful historic Marais, the oldest part of Paris, filled with tiny and lively streets. You are in the midst of the most lively and "bobo" (Bourgeois-Boheme) areas of Paris: Canal St Martin, Rue de Bretagne, Rue Oberkampf; and 5 mn cycling from the touristy areas of Opera Bastille, the cemetery Père Lachaise, Place des Vosges, Centre Pompidou, Musée Picasso, Parc des Buttes Chaumont. Although trendy, the area still provides excellent affordable options for going out and shopping. There is a bi-weekly fresh food market right outside our door, you will never have to go to the supermarket, but if you do need to, there are very good ones nearby, as well as convenience stores, dry cleaners, shoe repair...I live on a lively street, in a pretty hopping neighborhood with fun bars and restaurants and shops right outside the door.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT : You’ll definitely have no problem in this area to move very quickly with a wide range of public transports around. There are 4 bike stations around the building (Vélib’), The metro station République, 5mn walking from the flat, is a major hub counting the majority of the lines, which is key in Paris to avoid changes. Direct lines to Champs Elysées (line 9), Opéra (lines 3&9), Eiffel Tower (line 8), Hotel de Ville (line 11) and Gare du Nord (line 5). But you’ll also have the choice to go to the stations Goncourt (line 11), Parmentier (line 3) or Oberkampf (line 9) which are all almost down the building! Facing building the bus stop (Bus 96) will bring you directly to the Marias, St Germain, St Michel and Gare Montparnasse; on the Avenue Parmentier, the Bus 46 goes directly to the train station Gare du Nord (that counts the Eurostar to London, the Thalys to Brussels and Amsterdam, the RER B to CDG and Orly airports ) and Gare de l’Est.
AMENITIES AND RESTAURANTS AROUND : There are plenty of very good restaurants, cafés, lively bars and theatres at walking distance (Le chateaubriand, le dauphin, pierre sang, etc.), as well as all the amenities, with traditional butcher, bakery, cheese monger, fishmonger, quality grocery store, organic food shop, wine cellar, food markets, supermarket, etc... all this one block away from the flat. The street Oberkampf nearby is well-know for its nighlife with a lot of bars, club and restaurants. If you don't feel like cooking. the very famous French restaurants Astier and Chateaubriand are down the building. It is a fantastic option to discover the traditional French and gastronomic cuisine and wines, for a reasonable price.
THE FLAT'S DESIGN : The architecture of the building is typically Parisian with post-haussmannian style. Entering the building of very good quality, you will find a nice flowered courtyard, the apartment on the 5th floor with elevator (small but functional!) overlooking the street from the living room and the very quiet courtyard from the room. The furniture are a bobo mix of seventies vintage and cosy contemporary design. It counts two functioning marble fireplaces, the entire flat has a beautiful hard-wooden floor, two large windows in the living room with plants on the little balcony and double glazing to ensure you sleep quietly, convertible sofa in the living room to provide 2 more beds. It is fully furnished and equipped, with 1 bedroom (large 140), ample living room with 2 fireplaces (but Fire is not allowed), home cinema and big couch, a small fully furnished kitchen, a complete bathroom with a bathtub (and HAIRDRYER), and separate toilets.
ENTERTAINMENT AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES : There is a home cinema with LCD TV 82cm, cable TV, lots of DVD. Hi-fi sound system with plenty of CDs and a jack to plug your iPhone/Ipad/device. There is as well a station on which you can plug your Ipod/Iphone.
INTERNET : Wireless high speed internet (bring your own laptop or your Smart Phone).
TELEPHONE : Cordless phone with free and unlimited calls to many destinations on landline numbers (Free phone calls in 70 countries - Free calls for USA & Canada including Cell phones).
THE KITCHEN : The kitchen is small but very convenient, fully equipped with everything to cook, Dish washer - Micro wave/Oven - Rice Cooker, Blender, Mixer - Boiler/Kettle - Fridge with freezer - Ustensils, plates, etc.
SAFETY : The building has two safety codes, two entrance doors, intercom and the flat counts an armoured door with safety system. The area is very safe anyway.
