My comfortable garage apartment has a real Austin vibe. Vintage and unique items I've collected in Texas and through international travels decorate the space. Situated on the trendy East side its close to downtown, bars, food trailers & the lake.
Lovely renovated garage apartment 10 blocks from downtown in hip East Austin. Walk 5 minutes to some of the newest east side bars! Free parking on street and behind gated driveway. Several bus lines run right out front - literally across the street. Walking distance to Town Lake - great running trail and kayak/canoe rentals.
The place is around the corner from a famous Austin texmex spot, food trailers, and other new foodie restaurants. There are corner stores within 1 block and a grocery store just a short drive away.
The apartment sleeps two people comfortably in a queen bed - I can offer a full sized air mattress if you want to load in. There is wireless internet, a full bathroom and full kitchen with oven/stove/fridge/french press.
There's also a porch with a table to relax under Texas skies - a great outdoor space for perfect Austin evenings!
Interaction with Guests
I will try to meet you upon check-in but occasionally just leave the key. I'm always quickly available through phone or email.
Hip and diverse Holly neighborhood with very friendly neighbors (more details in above description).
The bus stop is a short step away from the end of the driveway. Calling for Über and Lyft is also a breeze around here.
Other Things to Note
There are two dogs living in the front house who are occasionally in the back yard. They are friendly, well-trained, and never left unaccompanied by their owner(s).
Please leave the apartment as you found it, wash dishes, place trash in trash bins, etc. Just be cool and respectful of my space :)
No smoking inside (there's an ashtray on the porch).
Coming and Going: Make sure you lock the apartment door.
DOOR: Please keep the door of the apartment shut (especially on warm evenings) so the bugs don't get in. Trust me, you don't want them to get in!
PARKING: You can park in the back driveway at the foot of the stairs to the apartment. If parking on the street, you may park in front of the house, or anywhere on the opposite side of the street. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE NEIGHBORS’ HOUSES.
Security: Feel free to close and latch the driveway gate. If it's closed when you arrive, please be sure to keep it closed for the front house residents once you park. If you want to open any windows, please feel free to do so while you're at home.
Respect for the Neighbors: Please keep the noise level down after 10pm and before 7AM and be respectful of any requests from the neighbors.
One night stay may require a cleaning fee.
If you lose your key, there's a $5 charge to replace it.
