A very confortable, quiet and central apartment, at the heart of Barcelona. It is located right next to the Rambla of Raval, opposite to 4 star hotel Barceló, at walking distance to all the attractions. Plaza Cataluña, La Rambla, MACBA, La Boquería, Maremagnum, El Borne, are just a few of the places you may access without having to use the metro. When you do need to use it, you have 3 stations near by to chose from: Liceu, Sant Antoni and Drassanes.
You may find anything you need right next to you: grocery stores, supermarkets, coffee shops, pubs, bars, etc…
Apartment description: The apartment was refurbished last year so it has quite a fresh feel to it. It is an "interior" flat, which, in Spanish terms, means that it does not look out on the street. The view is of a small yard, very typical of Barcelona but not particularly attractive, nevertheless allows a lot of natural light and it is very quiet, which assures a good night's sleep.
• 2 rooms: one room with a double bed // another with a single bed that can be turned into double
(The wall between the rooms is very high, but the ceiling is even higher; the gap that is left -high above- enables you to hear what happens in the room next door; some people love it, some not!)
• Living room with a sofa-bed
• 1 bathroom with a shower.
• Fully equipped kitchen: fridge, freezer, oven, kettle, toaster and all necessary cooking utensils
• Washing machine, iron and hairdryer.
• 1st floor (not ground floor): there are about 20 steps from the entrance to our door. No elevator, but easy access.
In the price are included:
WIFI - Free wireless Internet
Toiletries, washing powder
Towels and bed sheets
Water and electricity
Flexible time of check-in and check-out. It will only depend on other guests, so feel free to check it with us.

Parking very near the apartment available but not included in the price of apartment rental. We will welcome you with a little treat!Hope you have a wonderful stay!
We would like you to take care of our place as if it were you home, making sure you leave things as you found them. What is most important for us is tp maintain a good relationship with our neighbours.
We had a great stay in the flat of Demi and Tomas! The communication with Demi went fluently and when we arrived, Tomas was waiting for us with a bottle of cava. He also answered all our questions and gave us some tips for good restaurants in Barcelona. The flat itself has everything you need for a short stay, and looks exactly like the pictures (it's very clean and cosy!). The travel guides and tips from previous guests are a really good idea :) The flat is located close to the Ramblas (about 5 minutes) and you also have a supermarket and all kinds of restaurants in the neighbourhood, which is very nice. We would certainly recommend this place to everyone who comes to Barcelona. Thank you Demi and Tomas for letting us stay in your nice apartment!
Demi's apartment is very cozy, clean and comfortable it has everything you need, even adapters for electronic devices. Tomas was there to greet us and spent time settling us in. Tomas gave us lots of useful information. The neighbourhood has all the amenities you'll need, restaurants/cafés/supermarkets & pharmacy and only a short walk to the La Rambla. Location is perfect. The restaurant business cards with comments is a great idea.
We enjoyed staying at Thomas's and Demi's apartment. It was clean and a good size for the two of us, including a table with four chairs, a couch and other chairs, and a foyer that was convenient for drying clothes on the drying rack they provided (you can also dry clothes on the balcony looking over the small internal courtyard, but rain threatened so we kept it inside). It is located right next to Rambla del Raval, and about 5 minute walk from Las Ramblas.
It was a 5-7 minute walk to either the Paral-lel or Liceu metro stations (we preferred the Paral-lel station because the walk was a little less congested).
We arrived on a cruise ship at 8AM and Thomas & Demi graciously let us check in at 9:30, which gave us nearly an extra day in Barcelona compared to a typical checkin of 4PM. They even left us a bottle of champagne and Thomas had lots of suggestions about the area and what to do and see in Barcelona.
It was about a mile walk from the cruise port (Christopher Columbus statue).
The unit includes a washing machine, a two burner cooktop, portable oven, full sized refrigerator and was well stocked with plates and silverware. The bathroom had adequate towels.
The door had two deadbolt locks and was within a locked building, so we felt very secure (the area seemed fine too)
The walls are thin - so you hear your neighbors. One neighbor had a young child who made considerable noise until about 10PM most days. But for sleeping during the night it was very quiet. No traffic or people noise.
There is no microwave.
The bed in the 'master' bedroom is 5' wide and 6' long. One side of it is against the wall, so the person sleeping there needs to crawl over their partner, or get out at the foot of the bed.
The other room contains a twin bed that accommodates 1 person.
The wall between the two bedrooms stops a little short of the ceiling, so any noise in one room is heard in the other room, and the upper few feet of the wall is glass block, so if the light is turned on in one room, it shines in the other room.
There is a window out to a small central courtyard, but you're only looking at your neighbor's laundry, so we kept the shade down.
When we arrived the Taxi driver could not find the apartment and called Demi who directed him better than us (non Spanish speakers).
We were welcomed by Tomas who helped up carry our bags and directed us to the apartment.
The apartment is exactly as stated. Very clean and on a quite side street.
It has a great location as its within walking distance to the metro, La Ramblas St' and food market.
We had a great time and will surely come back to our next visit in Barcelona.
Everything went smoothly. Demi was flexible with our early arrival and Tomas was very friendly and helpful . The description is very true and exact. However, it might be good to point out that staircase is quite narrow and stairs are steep, so I wouldn't recommend it to persons with some physical restrictions. The view from window is quite depressing, but flat itself is really nice and feels safe. You could hear life around you during the evenings, but at nights the house was quiet and peaceful. The location is great, a walking distance to Placa de Catalunya, supermarkets and restaurants just next door. However, the area between Rambla del Raval and "main" Rambla felt uncomfortable, but it can be easily avoided by using Carrer de l'Hospital or Carrer del Carma. Some taxi drivers had problems to find the adress, but using the nearby hotel Barcelo Raval as destination helped in those cases. If I go back to Barcelona, I would definitely stay in the flat again. Thanks, Demi.
