Louise's house is beside the Luas/

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · Annesley Park, Rathmines, Dublin, Ireland

The Space

Lovely quiet bedroom.Shared bathroom. Breakfast.

Beside the Luas, the house is villa-style 2 bedroom Edwardian. It has a beautiful back garden with lilac, silver birches and an ancient apple-tree surrounding a small green lawn.

The Luas tram station at Beechwood is a 2 minute walk away on Dunville Avenue - 7 minutes from Stephen's Green in the city centre.

The house is comfortably set in the leafy border between Rathmines:( library, swimming-pool, 3 bookshops and Cinema- complex) - and Ranelagh village with its 14 restaurants. There is a newsagent; small supermarket; fruit and vegetable shop, across the road from the house. 'Peperonata' is the name of our new local restaurant/cafe around the corner.

Great transport links with the Luas and several buses nearby - a great place from which to explore Dublin city and surrounds.

Interaction with Guests

I will always meet my guest on arrival and have time to show them the ropes. Since I work from home, I'll generally be on hand with help or advice. Breakfast is a good time to interact and have a chat.

  • Had a great 3 days in Dublin. Louise was a great host, providing me with everything I required. Was a lovely, spacious room and was perfect for me.
    Great location too.
    Would definitely recommend.
    Thanks again.

  • Firstly, the place was absolutely amazing. The room is big with a cozy fireplace and a warm sunlight shining through the window in the mornings.
Secondly, Louise is an incredible person. She is a very smart and interesting woman. Except from writing touching poems she also makes the BEST breakfasts.
During my stay I have felt like home and hopefully the next time I come to Dublin I can stay at this place again.

  • Louise is a lovely host whose care and kindness to her guests include offers of hot water bottles and a hearty, healthy breakfast. Her Georgian home is a beautiful, quiet oasis in Ranelagh, centrally located with easy access to the Luas.
She is a poet with a poet's soul and a Dubliner's heart. I enjoyed my stay and getting to know Louise, as well.

I'm a Dubliner, who enjoys living in Ranelagh, so close to the city, yet surrounded by leafy gardens. No car, or city noises. I work from home and when I'm free to, I enjoy walking, cooking for myself and others and looking after my grandchildren. I love to travel, see the world from the other side. It keeps me young. I read a lot, especially poetry and I have recently taken up Bridge, playing one morning a week in my local Community Centre. Four of us play House Bridge.
