Lovely quiet bedroom.Shared bathroom. Breakfast.
Beside the Luas, the house is villa-style 2 bedroom Edwardian. It has a beautiful back garden with lilac, silver birches and an ancient apple-tree surrounding a small green lawn.
The Luas tram station at Beechwood is a 2 minute walk away on Dunville Avenue - 7 minutes from Stephen's Green in the city centre.
The house is comfortably set in the leafy border between Rathmines:( library, swimming-pool, 3 bookshops and Cinema- complex) - and Ranelagh village with its 14 restaurants. There is a newsagent; small supermarket; fruit and vegetable shop, across the road from the house. 'Peperonata' is the name of our new local restaurant/cafe around the corner.
Great transport links with the Luas and several buses nearby - a great place from which to explore Dublin city and surrounds.
Firstly, the place was absolutely amazing. The room is big with a cozy fireplace and a warm sunlight shining through the window in the mornings.
Secondly, Louise is an incredible person. She is a very smart and interesting woman. Except from writing touching poems she also makes the BEST breakfasts.
During my stay I have felt like home and hopefully the next time I come to Dublin I can stay at this place again.
Louise is a lovely host whose care and kindness to her guests include offers of hot water bottles and a hearty, healthy breakfast. Her Georgian home is a beautiful, quiet oasis in Ranelagh, centrally located with easy access to the Luas.
She is a poet with a poet's soul and a Dubliner's heart. I enjoyed my stay and getting to know Louise, as well.
