The Space

Enjoy your stay in beautiful Dry Creek Valley, in a pastoral rural setting surrounded by vineyards and local wineries, 5 minutes from Healdsburg's historic quaint downtown plaza. The cottage is 480 square feet with big windows, high ceilings and its own private entrance. There is parking right in front. It has a complete kitchen, living room and bathroom with a mosaic tile shower. There are wineries all along our road and we would be happy to recommend a few. Right across the way you can take a lovely walk or run alongside the vineyards or you can rent a bike to explore the beauty of the valley. If you enjoy hiking, kayaking or canoeing there are opportunities all around us to explore as well. Our property has multiple fruit trees and we will be happy to share whatever bounty is in season when you arrive. The water here is also spring fed and very tasty and the sky at night is full of stars! You can enjoy sitting in the front yard which is bordered by a dozen Redwood trees or you can picnic in our big back yard among the fruit trees. We also have 2 female dogs who are quite friendly if you'd like to meet them. We would be happy to welcome you to Sonoma County and insure that your stay here is enjoyable.

  • Sonia's cottage is a beautiful spot tucked away in Sonoma wine country. It offers an open and very comfortable space, with numerous amenities to ensure comfort throughout our three night stay. The spacious kitchen and living/work area are useful, as are the provided guides to attractions and dining in the area. The bed and bath were both tremendously comfortable after a long day exploring the region.
The cottage offers a very quiet location accessed by a scenic drive on the opposite side of Dry Creek from Downtown Healdsburg. Driving there late in the evening is a bit challenging, but still no more than 10 minutes from town. Overall, it is a gorgeous, quiet and outstandingly comfortable place to stay when visiting the region.

  • My girlfriend and I loved this place. It's the perfect size for two people, beautifully appointed. Very close and convenient to downtown Healdsburg but you feel like you're way out in the country when you're at the cottage. Exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to go back.

  • We had the most amazing stay at the Dry Creek Valley Cottage. Sonia was extremely easy to communicate with prior to our arrival and we were lucky enough to spend some time chatting with her and Elliot during our stay. They are truly two of the nicest people we've ever met. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and chocolate bar upon arrival, which we happily enjoyed during the Tuesday night live music event in Healdsburg Plaza (thanks again!). Whether lounging around the cozy interior or enjoying the backyard shade trees, the cottage was a wonderful place to relax after long days of wine tasting. We especially loved the tile work in the bathroom! The kitchen is also well stocked with cooking utensils if you choose to cook for yourself. We wish we could have stayed longer and will no doubt be back again soon!

  • This is a great find in Dry Creek Valley! Great location, quiet, charming, well decorated and comfortable, and filled with nice touches that you won't find anywhere else. Sonia and Elliott are very friendly and welcoming and they have created a beautiful accommodation that is quite unique. Highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to stay near Healdsburg, you won't find a better place on Airbnb.

  • Sonia was very hospitable and welcoming. The cottage was beautiful, very comfortable and clean. It has everything you need for a longer stay and wish we did! Its definitely private and the location is excellent. The road is scenic and we drove it a couple times while staying in Healdsburg and loved it! Close to Town and many wineries, some with gardens! Did't get to meet Bill, maybe next time!

  • We had a great stay at Sonia's cottage. It was exactly what we expected and the location was even better than expected. Great proximity to the amazing wineries and downtown Healdsburg. Sonia and her husband Live on the property so they are available should you need them but in not at all intrusive. We're already planning our next trip back to Healdsburg!

  • If you like chocolate and wine this is the place for you. Sonia and Elliot were great. On the way driving up from SF my wife said she wanted chocolate and by coincidence we were surprised to find the exact chocolate she was craving waiting for us in the cottage. The cottage is so well put together and beautiful. You could not ask for more. Lovely quiet setting just minutes away from Healdsburg and next to a bunch of wineries. WOW!

About
My husband and I have lived in Sonoma County for the past 18 years. We were able to raise our 2 wonderful sons (now 18 and 20) in this lovely community. My husband works for Dept. of Fish and Wildlife doing fisheries restoration and I am a psychologist working with Sonoma County Youth and Family Services. We love the outdoors, fishing, kayaking, hiking and harvesting our tasty fruit. We also love live music and going with the family to music festivals and events whenever we can.
