About this listing
Enjoy your stay in beautiful Dry Creek Valley, in a pastoral rural setting surrounded by vineyards and local wineries, 5 minutes from Healdsburg's historic quaint downtown plaza. The cottage is 480 square feet with big windows, high ceilings and its own private entrance. There is parking right in front. It has a complete kitchen, living room and bathroom with a mosaic tile shower. There are wineries all along our road and we would be happy to recommend a few. Right across the way you can take a lovely walk or run alongside the vineyards or you can rent a bike to explore the beauty of the valley. If you enjoy hiking, kayaking or canoeing there are opportunities all around us to explore as well. Our property has multiple fruit trees and we will be happy to share whatever bounty is in season when you arrive. The water here is also spring fed and very tasty and the sky at night is full of stars! You can enjoy sitting in the front yard which is bordered by a dozen Redwood trees or you can picnic in our big back yard among the fruit trees. We also have 2 female dogs who are quite friendly if you'd like to meet them. We would be happy to welcome you to Sonoma County and insure that your stay here is enjoyable.
No pets. No smoking inside.
Sonia and Elliot are kind and conscientious hosts. They went above and beyond to accommodate us in their lovely cottage. I have been to Sonoma a few times but have always stayed in hotels. Staying right in wine country was a far superior experience. I loved all the surrounding trees and grape vines. The road is quiet, and I felt like we were in a secluded cabin in the woods, yet we were just a few minutes from downtown Headlsburg. This cottage is a real "find", and I would highly recommend the property.
My wife and I had the best time at the cottage for our 1 year anniversary. Everything was perfect and we will definitely stay again. Thanks!
Sonia provided everything needed for a restful two night stay. She could not have made it easier or more enjoyable. This place is a definite "find". Hoping to return soon on my next trip to Northern Sonoma.
We had a great stay - the location was perfect with many wineries just down the road, Sonia and Elliot were kind and welcoming hosts, and the cottage felt just like home.
Of all the AirB&Bs I've stayed in so far, this was by far my favorite. The Dry Creek Valley Cottage is located in a beautiful part of the Sonoma Valley and we loved driving up the street and seeing the vineyards that surround the area. We also enjoyed biking the quiet road, stopping along the way for wine tastings and lunch. We are hoping to return to the well-appointed, clean and lovingly designed cottage! You can sense that the cottage is owned by two creative people. It is also peaceful and comfortable and you really can't beat the location. We arrived past midnight due to flight complications but met Sonia in her driveway the following evening and were totally charmed. Both she and her husband are such cool people, I wish they were our neighbors back home. Wishing anyone who reads this entry a wonderful stay at Dry Creek Valley Cottage!
It was everything we hoped for. The place is impeccably maintained and delightfully decorated. We had a bowl of fruit, some chocolates and a bottle of wine awaiting our arrival which was a lovely welcome. It is located on a quiet vineyard-surrounded road about 5 mins from Healdsburg and makes for very peaceful evenings sitting outside on the little patio. We were only there 2 nights but loved very minute and would happily go back. Thank you Sonia and family!
The cottage was lovely. We appreciated the perfect location as our home base for a quick wine weekend getaway. Welcome bottle of wine, chocolate and fruit left by our hosts were added amenities. :)
We were lucky enough to meet Sonia quickly in person as well, which is always nice. We will definitely be back! And soon I hope!
About the Host, Sonia
My husband and I have lived in Sonoma County for the past 18 years. We were able to raise our 2 wonderful sons (now 18 and 20) in this lovely community. My husband works for Dept. of Fish and Wildlife doing fisheries restoration and I am a psychologist working with Sonoma County Youth and Family Services. We love the outdoors, fishing, kayaking, hiking and harvesting our tasty fruit. We also love live music and going with the family to music festivals and events whenever we can.
