About This Listing
Enjoy your stay in beautiful Dry Creek Valley, in a pastoral rural setting surrounded by vineyards and local wineries, 5 minutes from Healdsburg's historic quaint downtown plaza. The cottage is 480 square feet with big windows, high ceilings and its own private entrance. There is parking right in front. It has a complete kitchen, living room and bathroom with a mosaic tile shower. There are wineries all along our road and we would be happy to recommend a few. Right across the way you can take a lovely walk or run alongside the vineyards or you can rent a bike to explore the beauty of the valley. If you enjoy hiking, kayaking or canoeing there are opportunities all around us to explore as well. Our property has multiple fruit trees and we will be happy to share whatever bounty is in season when you arrive. The water here is also spring fed and very tasty and the sky at night is full of stars! You can enjoy sitting in the front yard which is bordered by a dozen Redwood trees or you can picnic in our big back yard among the fruit trees. We also have 2 female dogs who are quite friendly if you'd like to meet them. We would be happy to welcome you to Sonoma County and insure that your stay here is enjoyable.
No pets. No smoking inside.
We had a wonderful stay at the Dry Creek Cottage. The space was beautifully appointed and very private. Our hosts Sonia and Elliot went over and above to make us feel welcome, everything from fresh plums to a bottle of wine. They were extremely gracious and helpful. We would certainly come back when in the area and will be sure to recommend it to our friends. It was a little piece of heaven for us in Healdsburg.
We had a wonderful stay in the cottage. It was beautiful, clean and very comfortable- an ideal way to start and finish each day! Sonia and Elliott were so welcoming; so many thoughtful touches (wine, chocolates, fruit, coffee, music). It's a slice of heaven-next time, we'll bring our bikes and plan to stay longer! Thanks Sonia and Elliott, for a wonderful experience!
Sonia's cottage is awesome. I would stay here if it were in Buffalo, NY in the winter. The fact that it's beset on all sides by beautiful vineyards and countryside is a plus. The place is spic and span and LARGE - the photos didn't do it justice. I was hardly there because I was at a wedding, but you could comfortably chill out there for a while or cook dinner. I'd happily go back. Thanks, Sonia.
Sonia and Elliot were excellent hosts! We had a relaxing and peaceful vacation, the cottage was more than we expected, and the location is perfect (close to wineries and DT Healdsburg). I would definitely come back and stay any time and highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. Thanks Sonia and Elliot (And your wonderful pups Cooper and Uma!).
I had a wonderful weekend stay at this cottage. What a great "home base" for exploring the Dry Creek Valley. It's centrally located, very peaceful, and has an artsy vibe. Sonia has the cottage furnished with all you could need and more!
Wonderful setting, wonderful cottage, charmingly decorated and thoughtfully supplied by hosts. A true delight!
About the Host, Sonia
My husband and I have lived in Sonoma County for the past 18 years. We were able to raise our 2 wonderful sons (now 18 and 20) in this lovely community. My husband works for Dept. of Fish and Wildlife doing fisheries restoration and I am a psychologist working with Sonoma County Youth and Family Services. We love the outdoors, fishing, kayaking, hiking and harvesting our tasty fruit. We also love live music and going with the family to music festivals and events whenever we can.
