  • Nice little place down by the beach. 5 minute drive to city center, plenty of shops around. The place was a little chilly at times granted I was there in the winter. Agapi was a great host as well, Helped me sort out my laundry and even gave me some homemade greek desserts for christmas. whatever that bread roll thing was, was delicious, i could eat one of those a day! She also recommended a couple great places to visit on the island.

  • Maria was an excellent hostess, and the apartment was exactly as advertised!

  • Agapi was a great host, we stayed there twice, she made us feel like at home. Nice and comfortable appartment, 2 minutes away from the beach! We had such a great time! I advice it to anyone.
Thanks to Agapi and her brother :)

  • Agapi was welcoming greeting us with grapes and figs from her fathers farm which was a great touch after our initial journey with our bags finding the apartment. (part of the Star Hotel in the past...?)
Location wise we were very close to the beach, an area called Gazi, a bus ride 35 minutes outside of the main city centre, Crete seems to be struggling to survive on its tourism, and you can really feel it has lost it former glory. The beach itself was quiet and relaxing enough, we didn't have to fight for sunbeds, but the beach itself i'd rate 3/5.
The room was quite basic, 4 single beds not very comfortable but worked okay for us as we are young travelers. Room has a simple kitchenette offered a small fridge, and just really essential crockery that being said there was only one mug no glasses but I emailed Agapi and she provided us with these as she lives upstairs. Bathroom again basic, toilet seat needed replacement, seemed like it had seen better days. I wished the shower could have been free standing, and a hook for the head I feel wouldn't be too much to install, it is quite tough trying to wash your hair after a day at the beach.
    Air-Con good.
Wireless although 2 networks were offered, both were quite bad cutting in and out frequently.
Washing wise, there is no washer/dryer in the room, but Agapi was kind enough to put on a load for us and provided her drying rack and with the heat our clothes dried in no time.
Agapi's place is fine for a basic stop by.

  • thank you! very nice host and room

  • The apartment was a bit hard to find in the dark (we arrived after 10pm), but as soon as we got in Agapi greeted us with a smile. We only had a one night stay in the apartment with a lot to accomplish: we had to find dinner, sleep, then make it to the city center bright and early to get breakfast, run some errands, and catch a bus to Agios Nikolaos. Everything about the room was pretty standard (from the Greek-style shower to the very firm beds), but Agapi's hospitality was the highlight. The room itself was quite sparse, but for a one night stay before moving on to other destinations, you could certainly do a lot worse.

  • Agapi was really spontaneous: on short notice we could add two more people to the apartment! Also the checkout time was very flexible. The room was spacious and clean, with sheets and towels provided. The sea with a nice beach is in walking distance.

  • Jodi and I were only able to stay at Agapi's family guest house one night but leaving we wanted to stay more!! She welcomed us at night in the dark then showed us our room then ended up chatting! she helped us out with transportation and answered all our questions we had and was very happy to help. The apartments were clean and very close to the beach. Agapi is awesome, from Vancouver with Greek parents we had lots to talk about! Her perfect speaking Greek and English is very helpful!!

    Awesome experience!!

  • Agapi was a great host and we had a good time staying at hers.
She and her brother were extremely helpful, when we were facing smaller and bigger problems (we locked ourselves out).
The room was clean and equipped with a TV, WiFi, a small kitchen, 4 beds,a table and everything you need for basic cooking. The place offered more than enough space.
The area is a typical touristic area, the bus will take you to the city centre in about 20 minutes and there are lots of car and scooter rentals in the area, 2 small supermarkets are less than 5 minutes away from her place.
A very relaxed experience for a fair price, thank you agapi ;)

  • More like a hotel but Agapi is very reliable and fast-reacting, with a lot of flexibility for arrival time.
Room is confortable and just a few meters from the sea. Easy access with a 15min ride by bus.
