Neil and Mike made us feel very welcome in their home, in fact we became quite settled by the last day it was difficult to leave. Coming back to our home in Canada took a day to adjust! This was our first airbnb experience and it couldn't have gone better. We really enjoyed relaxing in the morning on their beautiful patio and loved the foliage that they have in their yard. Their home is so close to some really cool spots, including our new favourite, Taco Perla, best fish tacos in all of San Diego we voted.
Lastly we commented to each other after we had left how well loved and taken care of their puppy Max is. We have fur babies at home as well and enjoyed swapping stories with them.
Highly recommend experiencing casa de Mike & Neil is you get the chance!
We had such a lovely stay with Neil & Mike. They really made us feel welcome and shared their knowledge about San Diego. Their home is in a brilliant location in a cute neighbourhood. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. We did also enjoy a glass of wine on the patio.
Perfect hosts and great AirBnB experience, thank you Neil and Mike! My boyfriend and I were warmly welcomed despite our late in the evening arrival. We appreciated the beauty / cleanliness of the house, the provision of shelf space (and bagels! and homemade preserves!) in the fridge, and most of all being able to relax on the awesome patio and chat with our hosts. Truly personable, Neil and Mike had a natural ease in making us feel comfortable and welcome in their home for the weekend. Also, the neighborhood was a great location for exploring San Diego, with bars and yummy restaurants just a few blocks away. Highly recommended!
Upon our arrival, Neil and Mike greeted us with smiles and welcomed us to their lovely home. Our four days there were truly nourishing. The home was extremely comfortable with a great bedroom, beautiful bathroom, gorgeous kitchen and patio. We were able to use the kitchen easily and were treated to bagels and home made jams in the mornings. Their neighborhood is quiet and within easy walking distance of fun places to eat. The location of North Park is a perfect location, being so close to Balboa Park with easy access to 805 as well as 5. Our experience exceeded our expectations.
Mike and Neil were very welcoming and kind hosts. They made us a delightful breakfast and we enjoyed spending a couple of hours just chatting with them on their AMAZING patio. The descriptions are very accurate, the house is impeccably clean and well-decorated - beautiful Craftsman in a GREAT neighborhood. We could walk from their house to many restaurants, stores and Balboa Park. We would definitely stay with them again.
Neil and Mike are great hosts. They provided us with a lot of useful tips while still providing a lot of privacy! The house is great as well! Recommended!
I can't say enough kind things about Neil and Mike. They were the perfect hosts, giving us a tour of the house upon arrival, showing us the appropriate doors to use, light switches and space in the fridge for our snacks. They were so warm and welcoming, it was like staying with family. In celebration of our engagement during our visit they even included us in their Saturday morning breakfast on the patio – so yummy and thoughtful. Their little pup Max was a sweetheart – it's always great to have some fur babies to love on while you're away from home.
