This is a spacious, comfortable flat in Carroll Gardens, the heart of brownstone Brooklyn-- in other words, that cute neighborhood you see in films and TV shows when they want to show the cozy, charming side of NYC life. I'm on a beautiful tree-lined street where birds will welcome your stay with a song as you sip your morning coffee or tea. My flat is on the top floor, with lots of natural light.
The neighborhood of Carroll Gardens is simply adorable. It's not surprising to walk down the street and hear Italian being spoken, and then turn the corner and overhear a French conversation.
Everybody loves this location; it’s a clean, safe, convenient and reliable place for you to stay on your visit to the city.
There are two trains just 4 blocks away; the G and the F, and I'm only 15/20 minutes from the city.
-Half of the top floor of a small four-story building
-Peaceful bedroom with a queen-size memory foam bed
-Huge, sunny living room with a large sofa (I'm 5'9 and have slept comfortably on the sofa)
-One bathroom with shower and claw-foot bath-tub
-Fresh sheets, blankets and towels for every visit
-A large, fully-equipped kitchen where my guests are invited to make coffee or tea, and use my various oils and spices that are on the kitchen shelves. Guest can cook easily without having to purchase all the basics.
-There are three (normal) flights of stairs leading to the apartment-- no elevator.
- Many of my reviews mention my sweet kitty, Ethie, who passed away. There's no animals that cohabitate during guests stay.
-The building itself is old and the floors have a little bit of a creak, maybe you will find it charming but if you're looking for an ultra-modern recently-renovated condo then this is not the place for you.
-Carroll Gardens has some amazing places to eat/drink/shop. I suggest Buttermilk Channel, Prime Meats and Frankies 451 for great meals. Abilene, Mini Bar and Brooklyn Social for drinks. Caputo's (specialty shop with amazing Italian foods), Gourmet Fresh (for groceries), and for the rest I have a bodega just one block away!
-This is my home, so tell me a bit about yourself so I can know who I'm renting to, and what I can do to make you feel welcome.
Other things to note
Not "baby-proof", no little ones under the age of 5.
Please keep in mind that quiet hours are from 9pm - 9am.
If anything arises, you can always call me immediately. My super, Robert, lives on the first floor in apartment 1-L and can also help if (for instance a fuse is blown*) you have any problems
* I've never blown a fuse (hah) just an example.
If we don't get to meet to exchange keys upon your departure, you can put the spare keys under my door mat.
