Ahh! Peace & quiet...
One Bedroom Adobe casita is respite from busy world. Kitchenette, kiva-style fireplace, closet & TV/Int. Walking distance to all museums, Old Town, and even Albuquerque downtown. Lush, honeysuckle walkway and garden yard.
A beautiful casita in the heart of Albuquerque ...next to Old Town, Albuquerque Museum of Art, Explora, Natural History Museum and beautiful Tiguex Park. On its south side, walking distance to Downtown. This is a very private space with interior gardens and water features, solitude and beautiful New Mexico natural lighting. Full custom kitchen and bath, completely stocked, old world kiva fireplace all secluded behind an adobe wall. Upon arrival you will be introduced, given a key, and you will have all the privacy you could want. This neighborhood is considered Old Town, which is located only 3 blocks NW, but it is residential...down the street is one of New Mexico's best NM cuisine cafe's. Shopping next to it provides the best prices in New Mexico on silver, turquoise and other native made pieces. (Trust me, I've done a lot of research)! Old Town offers unique shopping in its square...great restaurants from hip to 3rd world. The city transit system is 3 blocks east and this property is artist owned, a bit, Albuquriky!, it offers a wonderful Albuquerque experience.
No smoking indoors, pets with prior approval. 1 month minimum stay.
Old Town Albuquerque, Downtown Albuquerque, Tiguex Park, Museums, Shopping, Restaurants...
Interaction with Guests
This is a quiet, private space. Interactions are only on an as needed basis, although we can't help occasional, "Good morning!" or "How y'all doing?"
Extremely friendly and interesting. Mostly traditional adobe-like houses including ones done by the locally famous and prolific adobe home builder Leon Watson.
Bus stops easily accessible.
The house rules are simple...treat my space as your space and handle with care! We don't allow smoking indoors...other than that, we are pretty flexible and accommodating. We live on this property as well, so, be respectful as to noise, however, we want you to enjoy your stay with us.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The casita is charming and cozy, set amidst beautifully landscaped grounds with creative touches all around: a lush, verdant and calming environment that has been an ideal sanctuary for us. Andy has been an exceptional host, responsive to our every need, and together with his loving dog, Buddha, generates the positive, welcoming energy that make this special place feel like home.
Great space, incredibly comfortable, within striking distance of excellent spots in Albuquerque. Sarah is a terrific host.
Sarah is a FANTASTIC hostess, the casita is a DREAM and we LOVE LOVE LOVED every moment we were there. We'll come back again if she'll have us! HIGHLY recommend if you are staying in Albuquerque THIS is a MAGICAL place and so is Sarah! oxox
Sarah was an amazing host. Before I arrived, she had sent me an email with instructions/recommendations/suggestions that covered all the bases from how to find her Casita and what to do if I had any problems.. to local restaurants she thought I'd enjoy. Sarah's place was wonderful. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had tea and coffee, and there were plenty of Albuquerque guide books with suggestions on places to visit. Sarah's dog Buddha was very friendly and welcoming. He made sure to say hi whenever I came through the gate. The Casita was in the perfect location. It was close to the airport, restaurants, and to downtown. I highly recommend going to the Farmers market that is held every Saturday in Robinson park. Overall, my stay at Sarah's was great. The only difficulty I had was getting a good internet connection.
Hi Lucas! Thanks for your kind comments, we enjoyed having you! I wanted to inform you that our modem/router was on EDL status, which means End of Life battery cycle. The signal was non existent. It has been replaced and everything is working fine now. Sorry for this inconvenience. :-)
This charming quiet casita is perfectly located near Old Town.
Sarah is a thoughtful hostess. My only concern would be if you are fragrance sensitive (as I am) you request that the linens and towels be rinsed and dried without any fragrance.
That said I would absolutely recommend this really charming home away from home.
I loved my stay.
The pictures don't do it justice. The space is calm and relaxing. I felt entirely at home during my stay. Sarah was a charming and wonderful host. If you want to experience the ABQ lifestyle, this is definitely the place to stay. Thank you very much for the hospitality and the wonderful accommodation!
Wonderfull place to stay, beautifull and peacefull, just near the old town. Sarah and her husband were very helpful with us, Thanks a lot, Alice Antoine and Maxime.
