Great place to stay if you're looking to shut off from the outside world. Lovely town on the edge of Donegal with amazing scenery.

Our stay in this house was absolutely fantastic ! It's a very cosy and quiet place where you can rest and recharge your batteries. It is very well equipped with all you could need and the landscape around is impressive. It is located near a small village (5 minutes by car) with pubs, restaurant and a complete supermarket. It is a perfect base to explore south of Donegal (there many things to see !), particularly if you love nature. At last, Laetitia is a kind person, very available and Monica, the woman who welcome us at the house, is so nice and pleasant.

If you like being in the midst of a beautiful landscape, like being woken up by the sound of sheep and want to enjoy one of Ireland's finest areas, we highly recommend staying in the old school house. It's a beautiful place with a great vibe and the surrounding area offers many nice outdoor activities. It was a pleasure staying there and Laetitia was a great help.

We had a lovely week at the old school house in Glencolmcille. The location of the house is fantastic surrounded by hills and sheep. Laetitia and Monica did everything to make us feel welcome. The surroundings are really beautiful. We especially liked Silver strand, Slieve league and the village of Ardara.

We much appreciated the bottle of wine and chocolate. It was good to have heating on a timer as we were out most of the day. The kitchen and the bedroom warmed up well. On arrival we tried a fire in the sitting room but it filled with smoke so we didn't use it. The OS map and brochures were very helpful as we visited many parts of Donegal. The School House is in a beautiful though isolated position. It would be good to provide geographical coordinates for reaching it, particularly in the dark, though we managed ok because we had planned well using street view.
