If you like being in the midst of a beautiful landscape, like being woken up by the sound of sheep and want to enjoy one of Ireland's finest areas, we highly recommend staying in the old school house. It's a beautiful place with a great vibe and the surrounding area offers many nice outdoor activities. It was a pleasure staying there and Laetitia was a great help.

We had a lovely week at the old school house in Glencolmcille. The location of the house is fantastic surrounded by hills and sheep. Laetitia and Monica did everything to make us feel welcome. The surroundings are really beautiful. We especially liked Silver strand, Slieve league and the village of Ardara.

We much appreciated the bottle of wine and chocolate. It was good to have heating on a timer as we were out most of the day. The kitchen and the bedroom warmed up well. On arrival we tried a fire in the sitting room but it filled with smoke so we didn't use it. The OS map and brochures were very helpful as we visited many parts of Donegal. The School House is in a beautiful though isolated position. It would be good to provide geographical coordinates for reaching it, particularly in the dark, though we managed ok because we had planned well using street view.

Laetitia communicated very well with us and left plenty of information about the local area in the house for browsing. We had no trouble with anything and really enjoyed our stay, in spite of the mostly bad weather. The house is neatly designed and makes good use of the space available, with a large kitchen and living area with an open fire place on the ground floor: exactly what we wanted. We enjoyed the remoteness and peace of the valley, and the adjacent hills are ideal walking areas with trout lakes at high level on both sides of the valley. The bicycles on offer were enjoyed as well. Another stay is being planned!

Laetitia'shouse is absolutely stunning located in what is perhaps the most beautiful scenery in the whole west coast of Ireland. And we drove the ca. 2000 km wild Atlantic way... The house itself is old and full of charm and has ample place for a family. The views directly from the house are amazing.
