The space
Well appointed guest room with King bed, sitting area with ottoman with pull out twin bed (good for child), writing area - your home for 2 or more nights.

Bay View Room is facing North with east and west exposure on the 2nd floor. Room Locks. Small ensuite bathroom with shower.

Guest share access to common areas on the first floor including a reading room off of the main stairway, a parlor, a dining room, a guest pantry off of the dining room with ice machine where coffee and tea are available.

Also included in the common area is a sixty foot south facing screened veranda. We have found the veranda one of our most popular common areas because of the relaxed atmosphere to spend time whether chatting, reading, playing games or working puzzles after a day at the beach. The veranda opens up to a fieldstone patio, a popular place for enjoying your morning coffee overlooking lawns and gardens to Silver Lake, a twelve acre fresh water spring fed lake stocked with brook trout. A variety of lawn games, Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and fire pits are scattered throughout the lawns for guest to enjoy.

Free parking for guests. Excellent tasting artisan well water from tap in room. Local Library and Non-denominational Chapel open in season.

World famous striped bass fishing along the beach or with the many fishing guides available in the area.

Seals, sturgeons, and a variety of rising fish to be seen at varying times of the day.

A birdwatchers paradise including eagles, osprey, great blue heron, snowy egrets sea ducks. The endangered species Least Terns.

Maine Maritine Museum, Boothbay Botanical Gardens, all in the surrounding areas.

We love it here in Popham and would like to invite everyone to experience the wonder that we have experienced living and raising our family here. At the beach, sitting outside under the copper beech, rocking on the veranda, napping in a hammock to the sounds of the surf and birds, sitting by the fire or snuggled in bed with a great book it is a feeling of peace and tranquility. Better yet sharing it with those you love over the freshest seafood, games and interesting conversations. You won't want to leave. It is a mystery as to the tranquil vibe- where for centuries the native people gardened and fished and hunted and enjoyed the wonder that this little hamlet brings to all who come in peace.
