About This Listing
To the east of us is quiet, peaceful Mexico Beach. West of us is beautiful, eventful Panama City Beach. A few blocks from us is East Bay and perfect sunsets. :) Please read all details in listing description, most questions will be answered there.
My place is located 15 miles from Panama City Beach heading west, and 25 min from Mexico Beach heading east. Be aware that during Spring Break, traffic is usually awful heading towards PCB, so it will almost always take at least 30-45 minutes to get to where you're trying to go there. If you're looking to party, head to PCB, if you're looking for charm and relaxation, head east. I have one room available with a bed in it. We live here so it is not an empty apartment for rent, it is a 3-bedroom townhouse. There is one full bathroom and one half bathroom, both are shared with other occupants in the house. Kitchen is open for cooking, must bring own food and clean up after yourselves. Towels and linens provided.
Guests will have access to all areas of the house except for the other bedrooms.
Interaction with Guests
I stay pretty busy so often my guests will not see much of me, but I make sure to have at least a little contact with guests while they are here.
I live in a fairly quiet neighborhood and have really cool neighbors!
There is not convenient public transportation in Panama City, and especially not near my house. I recommend having a car when you come to Panama City, as we are not available to give rides.
Other Things to Note
When booking this listing, please understand that I have "Instant Book" turned on and if you take too long to complete booking once I've pre-approved your request, someone may still book the room during that time. I apologize if this happens to you, but the listing is fair game to all, just like any other hotel room. To secure the room, you must complete the booking process as soon as possible.
Please clean up after yourselves. No smoking inside, but we have a porch where smoking is allowed. If you come in after 10pm, please keep the noise down.
I arrive a few hours late not as planned and what I told Ashley. Ashley waited for me and welcome me late at night. It is very nice of her. The house and the room are very nice and comfortable. Everything is perfect as described. I would come back and stay here if I'm coming to Panama again!
Ashley and Royce were very good hosts. We felt at home all the time. We arrived late in the night and that was not a problem at all. The room we stayed in was cozy for 2 and the restroom was shared which was not a problem but sharing it as some guests prefer private bath. The place is right in the middle of mexico beach and PCB. 20 mins either way. For the price, this place is a great deal. Anybody who loves owls will find this place to be a owl heaven. I will come back again if I am in town.
My boyfriend and I were needing a place to stay while we finalized our apartment search. We arrived late Thursday and I started work at my new job the following Monday. Moving from North Carolina was already stressful enough. To start a new job on top of that was trying me freakin' nuts. That is why I really appreciate the warm welcome from Ashley and Royce. They made our stay very comfortable and peaceful. They live in a quiet neighborhood. It is minutes from the Air Force base. More importantly it is minutes from Mexico Beach! Ashley and Royce are very cool. I love their style. The house has an eclectic decor that I love. My only regret is that I did not get the chance to talk with them more. I was either at work or passed out sleeping. The room was very comfortable. If you are planning a trip to Panama City Beach, Panama City, or Mexico Beach but you don't want to stay close to the craziness I highly recommend staying here!
Ashley is easy to communicate and very helpful. The room was very cold but Ashley let us turn off the ac, so it was fine. It takes you 15min to Panama City.
About the Host, Ashley
Hi, I'm Ashley. I go stir crazy if I can't hit the road at least every month or so. I love music. All kinds. Yes, seriously, all kinds, and I can't live without it. I can't go a year without going to at least one music festival (usually Bonnaroo, but this year I'm adding Shaky Knees and Voodoo to the list). I used to be a picky eater, but I'm more daring now. My most used motto would have to be: Keep an open mind.
Open 24 hours and way better than Waffle House if you're looking for breakfast or something to sober up with.
One of our local art co-ops.
Awesome music acts rolling through most nights in downtown Panama City. Music ranges from experimental to punk to folk and everything in between.
Cool coffee house with great art and lots of musical talent rolling through.
Beautiful and peaceful.
