The listing is pet friendly. My doxie puppy Winnie Cooper welcomes furry friends, but prefers no external catz ... but we can talk!
Any other questions just ask. Feel free to stay for a night, week or month. As long as we get along, move in if you'd like. Of course we will offer discounts the longer you stay. The only exception is during major events: SXSW, ACL, Formula One... and UT home football games (but I have season tickets and will be willing to part with 1-2 for the right price)!
Interaction with Guests
Live in host with doxie puppy who likes/licks everyone! Love to show off my city and amenable to giving rides to local attractions (for gas money) to ease transportation.
Very quiet townhouse community. No through traffic. Great place to walk or jog.
Bus stop 6 blocks away. Light rail station 5 minutes drive away (will give ride over/back for gas money).
Just come and have fun. Help yourself to the fridge or bar. Whatever you use up please replace.
If you are staying more than 3 days please buy some toilet paper ... that is part of "replace what you use up".
I stay very busy in my home office (late work at night) so you will get either the master BR (downstairs) or the guest BR's (upstairs)!
Mi casa, su casa.
Dave is an extremely friendly, warm and welcoming host. Flexible check-in considering our post-midnight arrival, and plenty of advice on what to see in Austin.
The place has a good proximity to downtown Austin, just 10min drive, and is ideal for hosting large groups of people who don' t want to rent separate homes.
Dave's place was wonderful, very clean and comfortable. The room I slept in was full of antiques and had easy access to an upstairs bathroom. Dave himself is a great host, he went the extra mile to make me feel at home by waking me up early to ensure I made my bus and even driving me to my stop. I'd recommend his place to anyone.
Host was very helpful and offered us coffee and tea every morning. Whinnie Cooper was nothing short of adorable and a pleasure to see when we arrived. The room we stayed in could use a carpet cleaning but other than that, we had no problems staying with Dave. We had a perfect location for our gig that weekend and Dave was very helpful when our original plans had changed and we needed to extend out stay.
Dave was an excellent host. He was very kind and relaxed. the environment was very homie. Winnie Cooper, his little puppy, was so sweet and adorable. The neighborhood was very nice and safe all day and night. The rooms were pretty large to accommodate all 6 of my friends and I. Overall the experience was well and I would recommend Dave's place!
The listing is accurate as are all of Dave's other view. Dave and his dog were pleasant and provided great advice about the Austin area. He has good wifi and great parking if you bring a car. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in or around Austin.

About the Host, Dave
From Austin TX ... semi-retired which means I need to semi-work ... happily divorced! I like to walk my doxie puppy Winnie Cooper in the park next door, eat out, cook in, and stay busy with my home biznesses! I love to travel (all my home biznesses are internet based) and meet interesting new people! I am a lifetime Texas Longhorn and have x3 season tickets to UT football games (which I am willing to share). I am a native Austinite and can give you a great tour of the Republic of Austin! I know all the back stairs and secret passages at the State Capitol Building. I have many years of international living and travel (mostly Far East + Europe). I hate itineraries and usually just get somewhere and start exploring. I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy. Lastly, I am left-handed which means I am always outside the box!
P.S. NO EXTERNAL CATZ ALLOWED IN THE MAN CAVE!!! CAT GUESTS ARE FAR DIFFERENT THAN DAWG GUESTS!!!
