Response from Smyles:

Thank you Esther for being a great guest and for the pointers you gave me to improve the guest experience. Thank you also for your kind words. I have already implemented the suggestions you provided. In addition, I redid the bathroom after you left.

In response to your review I would like to give potential guests more clarity as they make a decision whether or not to book my space.

Regarding the time it takes to get to 42nd Street Times Square, here is a Google map link of how long it actually takes to get to time square from the subway station just a few short blocks away: (website hidden)

Most guests (I too) prefer to use the subway when going downtown. However, here is the estimated fare to get to Times Square: (website hidden)

The guest room is very large. With plenty of space left it takes a large bed, an office desk and chair, a coffee table, and a long three-seat sofa. I recently stayed at the Park Lane hotel on 5th avenue and noticed my guest room was about the size, if not larger, than the Executive Room with 1 King Bed that my girlfriend and I stayed in for $300.69. I provide each guest with towels, soap bars, and a blanket (now two, thanks to your suggestion).

Most of my guests are tourists in town for sightseeing. And the most common comment I get is that Midtown is fairly quickly accessible. Here are some comments about the location from previous guests' reviews.

"Time Square was a short subway ride away." - Chantal Castagna

“A supermarket and the subway station are only few meters away and you reach downtown Manhattan in 15-20 min.” - Marie-Luise Schaeuble

"Really close to the subway, easy access to all Manhattan!" - Fanny Brillant

"The location is pretty convenient and the subway station is just a few blocks away." - Kenny Hong

“The place is really close to the subway so you can get anywhere you need with great ease.” - Rares Neamtiu
