Our community was devastated by the 2016 Soberanes Fire. The neighbors will not hesitate to call 9-1-1.
FOREST AROMA
The cabin is situated under the canopy of a large redwood canyon. There is a natural earthy smell that is often present especially in the rainy season due to the location. We have no mold present and use a dehumidifier and fans to keep the as air dry and clean as possible, but if you are sensitive to such smells, this is not a suitable choice for you.
CONSERVATION
Water is precious and scarce in California. Our water is supplied by a natural spring. Please use the water respectfully. We share it with the venerable redwoods and wildlife in the canyon. Excess water usage can also lead to our water tank running dry.

Neighborhood highlights
We are an eccentric collection of people from all over the world who have chosen to call this canyon home. I serve on the local fire brigade with neighbors. We are a strong community of rugged individuals. Rocky Point Restaurant is minutes away. It it perched on a cliff overlooking the rugged beauty of the Big Sur coast. Always a favorite. Nephenthe and Cafe Kevah further South are also not to be missed. We are happy to provide hiking recommendations catered to your interests!
