I tend to have a pretty hands-off approach to guests, I like to meet and say hello to my guests and I'm always here to answer questions and make recommendations, but otherwise I like to let you enjoy your stay in peace and your own rythym.
The neighborhood is very international with a Russian Deli, Asian Grocery Store, Argentinian Tango School, NW Bottle Shop, Historic Theatre Venue and several cafes and restaurants all within walking distince it is quickly becoming one of Portland's most ecclectic neighborhoods.
The #14 (Hawthorne District) and the #17 (Downtown) Buslines both pick up within a block of my house. The #14 also takes you to the Max Train Redline direct to PDX International Airport.

We had a great second stay! This is my favorite Airbnb in Portland. Always quiet and relaxing. I hope to come back again soon!
Had a fantastic stay in this lovely abode! Wisteria was quick to respond to my questions and made the whole thing very simple. The place itself was warm and super cute. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a splendid little home. Wisteria was very helpful with same day booking. I didn't even use the upstairs space all I needed was downstairs. I wouldn't say the area in general is tops for walkability in PDX, but there are some gems around, including the Delta Cafe which Wisteria recommended. Easy to find parking and the 14 bus took me right in to downtown for work.
Really solid value for a private detached space.
my wife and i stayed for a night with 2 small boys and loved this charming little cottage. the boys slept up in the loft and we slept on the futon. we were all really impressed by the reclaimed materials, especially the door floors.
the playground at the end of the block was also a nice surprise!
wisteria was a gracious host.
we'd definitely stay here again.
Wisteria's cottage was perfect. Quite cozy and comfortable. Plenty of privacy , nice and quiet. Especially liked the unique and eclectic floors , doors and windows ! We didn't want for anything at all and that made our first visit to Portland that much more enjoyable . We'll certainly not hesitate to stay the next time we come ! Thank you Wisteria !
Took a Portland Stay-cation for my 50th birthday weekend and very much enjoyed the backyard cottage. I'm from NE Portland, so I don't spend much time in the SE FoPo area, which was a change of pace for me. The cottage is very delightful, cozy but fully appointed with tiny kitchen including 4-burner gas stove and oven! Very quiet place for writing, reading and hanging out with friends. The sleeping loft is comfortable and not at all claustrophobic, but spacious and light, though the ascent is steep and narrow so not recommended for larger folk or people with mobility issues (also, watch your head on the way up), and there's a futon bed downstairs too, so you don't have to climb to the loft. Enjoyed watching the bee hives behind the house as they woke up each morning, and the grey cat lounging in the sun. I appreciated the un-scented sheets and towels, being chemically sensitive. Took some nice walks in the neighborhood, and had a sunny outing at Bar Carlo on Foster for beer and nachos with my daughter. I enjoyed cooking and baking for my birthday dinner and hosting my party in a tiny house of own for the weekend. I would recommend for folks looking for a peaceful get-away. If you have a car, it's very accessible to Portland high-traffic/trendy neighborhoods like Hawthorne.
Sweet, private, comfy, generius... What else could you want in a host?
Such a great host. I loved the privacy and amenities. Great time. :)
We had the treat of staying in Wisteria's backyard nest for our second and final night in Portland. We didn't get to meet her, but her sweet touches were appreciated: fresh OJ, coffee accoutrements, and very clear instructions and open communication. We loved soaking up some morning sun sipping our tea and watching the honey bees do work. Also, close to Por Que No, aka the best Mexican food in the WORLD, aka the only criteria I will ever use to select PDX lodging in the future.
Really sweet little cottage. Steep ladder/stairs up to the main bed- probably not the best for older folks. Helpful host and nice kitchen setup with ample pots pans knives etc.
Not much space in the bathroom and there is only one sink in the kitchen. There is a great school park just down the street with play structures. Eco conscious host with compost, garden and awesome honey bee hives (awesome !).
Funky neighbourhood and pleasant host. :)
